My mom is looking to become an ESL teacher. She is not sure what credentials she needs to become one in the state of Colorado, any suggestions for online schooling?
She does have a degree in Germany but is not sure what certificates she needs to teach here.

Nevermind.. you say she wants to be come an ESL teacher in Colorado? Chances are that there are no "requirements" outside those specific to the job, as I don't believe CO offers ESL courses through it's public school system.

Thanks for the feedback. My mom was told by the private school where she works that she wasn't qualified to teach there anymore because she doesn't have a bachelors. I told her to have her 4 year German degree evaluated by WES, it should be American equivalent to a BS/BA. But then I remembered she took like 40 credits in 2000-2001 at MSU Denver, she may turn it into a degree at TESU in Foreign Language.

Thanks for the additional context. In this case, I think all she can do is what you've suggested -- the requirements are completely at the discretion of whatever private school she's teaching at. If all they require is a bachelors in something, then the transcript service may be enough. If not, then there's a good chance that many of the credits will apply towards a degree from TESU or elsewhere.

I agree. Definitely start with WES. Your mom can still do a TESU degree but at least she could have what she needs for the job.
