Can anyone help me find out what would be the best NACES service to recognize the degree? Need at least a bachelors to do the https://www.wqu.edu/mscfe program.

I finished in September but have yet to even get my digital Isabel I diplomas. I got the ENEB ones

Hi everyone,

I'm a long-time lurker and just decided to create an account. I recently completed my ENEB MBA + Master in Big Data and Business Intelligence, and I have received my digital diplomas for the program.

I have a question regarding academic background checks. Since the diplomas will also be issued by Isabel I, what should be listed for potential employers' background checks for the degrees? Should it be ENEB or Universidad Isabel I?

I assume that once I receive the digital degree from Isabel I, it will confirm that the degree has been conferred by them?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Finished Big Data and Business Intelligence back in November 2024 and have not received my digital Isabel I diploma yet either.

This was their response after I followed up a few days ago;

Quote:We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the delay in the delivery of the digital certificates from Universidad Isabel I.

Please note that Universidad Isabel I is a private institution separate from us, with its own timelines and management processes that we cannot modify or expedite. However, we can confirm that they are actively working on the issuance of the certificates, and we remain in close communication with them to ensure the process progresses as quickly as possible.

We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this matter. Should you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

We would like to inform you that, as per the agreement with Universidad Isabel I, the maximum number of ECTS credits a student can obtain in one academic year is 90 ECTS. Due to this limitation, the issuance of some of your certificates will need to wait until the new academic year begins.

Once we have all the digital diplomas and certificates, we will proceed with the management of the hard copies for shipment.

In my case, I finished a few more programs recently, and they are saying the next batch of Isabel I diplomas past the 90 ECTS annual quota won’t be issued until Sept 2025 (their academic year runs from September to August).

From your post I assume you’ve only recovered your ENEB diplomas?

The “how-to-list” issue has been discussed in this thread before, but I don’t recall it being as specific as “for background check purposes”.

That said, most people either list Isabel I alone, or put it down as Isabel I/ENEB.
People seem to get jobs or promotions by doing just that, so I don’t think you can go wrong with it.

One thing to note is what kind of background check are you dealing with? Most background check agencies aren’t as up to date on foreign academic credentials as FCE agencies are.

Hmm, seems like they don’t care how long you’ve spent into completing the degree..you just can’t get more than 90ETCS in a year

I think this has always been a gray area. I do not know well enough of the background checker’s process to give a definitive answer, however, my take is it may be okay to put Isabel I instead of ENEB. Isabel I diplomas can be validated using their website with the QR code on the back of the diploma. That may be good enough for the background checkers.

If however they require transcripts, I believe the procedure should be to ask a copy from you. In this case, you can provide them the ENEB transcript validated by Validential, which should show Isabel I as the awarding institution - as long as you provided the Isabel I diploma when you had it validated.

Now of course all of this is moot if you just put ENEB as the conferrer. I personally want it to be Isabel I due recognition, as it is an actual educational institution.

I’m hoping somebody here has gone through this process and can give us better info. However, I won’t be putting mine on my resume just to be safe. A negative finding may compromise a job that took you a lot of time and effort to get, for a degree that may not have mattered in the hiring decision anyway.

True, however this can be tricky. I believe they do not count ECTS per program per se, rather per course taken. Meaning if you previously already had a 60-ECTS single master and took the MBA+master version of that, it won’t require 120 ECTS total - rather 60 + the difference of the new courses from the MBA.

Not sure how they apportion the ECTS per course though since programs may vary on the number of courses they have.

You are correct, I have received my digital ENEB diplomas already. I haven't received anything that addresses "graduation" from them yet or any other emails. I logged into my e-campus portal and saw the "You have diplomas available!" button under my student record information on the dashboard.

I am in the process of applying for new opportunities, and as you might be aware, the US job market is a total disaster and continuing to eat itself alive. Usually when you receive an offer, the company will hire an outside background check service to perform criminal and academic background checks, which is a standard procedure. For the academic background check, they will reach out to the institution to verify and validate that the candidate did in fact receive the degree that was listed.

I could potentially reach out to ENEB to gather their opinion. They might come back with Isabel having their own timeline of processing the diplomas and thus conferring the degree. Ideally, I would prefer to just list Universidad Isabel I for more credibility as ENEB has terrible google search results for their top 10 searches in case recruiters get curious.

I've searched this thread up and down and haven't seen anything specific to employment verifications for the degree. I thought I'd throw out the question to see if anyone had any experience with this.

I purchased the package that included the ENEB Passport, as advertised on the promotion page.

This package happened to be the Agile Methodology program. I completed the courses and the modules by submitting the final papers and getting them graded—I did not need to take the exam.

I contacted the diploma department to inquire about the diplomas, attaching an image that shows the ENEB Passport and the bottom FAQs that state, "the shipment of your diplomas." See here: https://imgur.com/a/uSNeL8z

This morning, the department responded, "We inform you that the hard copies have an individual fee that is not included in the purchase you have made," along with the links to make the purchase.

Why would the promotion page specifically state the ENEB Passport and shipped diplomas but then not honor it?

The screenshot you provided is a typical section of ENEB’s sales page. Whenever there’s a discount they always include that section. For example, the recent “get a new master’s through agile methodology” event also has that page, but it clearly states that you are only getting an ENEB master + final exam option.

In the end, it boils down to whether the promotion clearly stated that the other diplomas were included. That screenshot alone is not definite proof.

Yes, it’s confusing. They’ve been doing that for a while now.

They might offer it as a standalone if you email them, but they also offer it in the full package: https://eneb.com/diplobfusd/
