ENEB Master Thread
(03-25-2024, 02:09 PM)JPN Wrote: ENEB claims a partnership with WES too but that just means that they are signed up for a digital portal to receive documents: https://www.wes.org/digital-partnership-form/

I believe the partnership with IEE is the same, except there may be a discount offered now: https://access.myiee.org/

I think people need to stop taking "partnerships" with evaluators seriously. Properly accredited evaluators will always work at arms-length from the business side, that may work to build secure document sharing portals with "partner" institutions. A partnership only just means that it's easier to get stuff done.

ENEB has misrepresented these partnerships before, and I think it is very silly to take these claims at face-value.

ENEB ended its partnership with WES because WES will not evaluate ENEB degrees any longer.  I contacted IEE because someone at the meeting or at least a forum member stated that the ENEB Master's degrees would be evaluated as a Bachelor's in the same way ECE has evaluated them.  I confirmed the "accredited graduate certificate" result as a recent customer with IEE to end all of the confusion. I also did it for myself since I will start at ENEB in June.    Someone has already made changes to the ENEB degreeforum wiki so that will need to be revised back.

You are right about the "partnerships" not needing to be taken seriously because WES still evaluated ENEB Masters degree as a "non-accredited" Masters.  Many thought that they would get a favorable evaluation just because WES was expediting the evaluations for ENEB but that likely ended with WES refusing to evaluate them because they had too many complaints about the "non-accredited" result.

Thank you for your inquiry. While IEE does have a partnership with ENEB, that does not change how we view the Títulos Propios issued by the school. Títulos Propios master's degrees are university-specific programs that fall outside of the formal academic structure in Spain and are not recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Education, nor do they grant access to doctoral programs. For these reasons, IEE considers Títulos Propios degrees issued by recongized degree-granting universities to be equivalent to graduate certificates in the US, including those issued by ENEB / Universidad Isabel I.

That sounds very promising. Whether ENEB or a similar program elsewhere in Spain, a 'graduate certificate' evaluation (assuming credits are also recognized) could be a great entry point to another program elsewhere.

I know it's less common to transfer credits into American universities for master degrees, but maybe there are institutions willing to do so?

Doubtful.  MCA is a unaccredited school claiming to be in the USA.  Most of us advise people to steer clear of MCA.

suleyman92 Wrote:Interesting. In Belgium they won't evaluatue anything without a thesis for a master's, but that's also because they are very behind when it comes to international education systems.

That's interesting indeed, someone on the sister board was able to get the ENEB evaluated by ENIC/NARIC Belgium as a Masters for one of the 6 they took, the other 5 came in as advanced bachelors (final year of a 4 year degree). Hmm... making me think on this one, may need to research that further for those in the EU.

cacoleman1983 Wrote:It was after the ENEB event.   I emailed them the same day after the ENEB event and received a response this morning.

That's going to cause confusion, it's like a 'he-said, she-said' type of response from ENEB and IEE, I would wait for the dust to clear and be settled before getting any evaluation. Spantran seems to be the one to go for until everything has been set or updated...

This is correct, MCA is not recommended at all, if you're remotely thinking of this option, skip it as WES will not evaluate them. BTW, this is your second time asking this in the thread, is there something you need/want from ENEB or is this for a specific purpose? You should provide more details, such as you're looking to get this for personal or professional reasons so we can help you further...

Scoured the ENEB campus forums for mentions of getting accepted into schools. I will attach the ENEB campus links as proof, for anyone who has access. My apologies if these were already all posted in here before, but most of them weren't on the wiki and those that were didn't have sources.

Australian University - accepted into PhD studies using Isabel I degree obtained via SAERA. (Source 1: https://campus.eneb.com/mod/forum/discus...=446#p2234, Source 2: https://campus.eneb.com/mod/forum/discus...=275#p1506)

Same person said the Open University UK (http://www.open.ac.uk/study/credit-trans...ries/spain) accepts Isabel I credit transfers.

University of North Carolina Systems, Queens College of Theology - At least certain programs at this school have a religious exemption from needing to adhere to normal state admissions standards. An ENEB student was accepted into a PhD in Psychology & Theology before the ENEB MBA degree was even complete, based on then-current enrollment and grades in the ENEB course (https://campus.eneb.com/mod/forum/discus...=446#p2246). They then seem to have confirmed the decision by submitting a Validential evaluation (https://campus.eneb.com/mod/forum/discus...=446#p2332), which seems to have been accepted by the college. Finally based on having ministry leadership experience together with the ENEB degree they were offered an Adjunct Professor position at said college (https://campus.eneb.com/mod/forum/discus...=459#p2247). According to the Email they got, the full list of courses the acceptance via ENEB degree is applicable to are:
Bachelor of Theology
Bachelor of Ministry
Bachelor of Religious Education
Master of Divinity
Master of Arts in Christian Counseling
Master of Ministry
Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology - Theology
Doctor of Theology in Ethics

Same person was also accepted to: West Coast Bible College & Seminary - https://www.westcoastbible.org, using their 60 ECTS ENEB MA. However they declined as the school had no real accreditation. (https://campus.eneb.com/mod/forum/discus...=505#p2387)

Same person was also accepted to:
Virginia University of Lynchburg (https://www.vul.edu/dha/) - accepts ENEB MBA+Masters into their Doctor of Healthcare Administration (this one was already on the Wiki) (https://campus.eneb.com/mod/forum/discus...=580#p2623)

According to the same person, a school that accepts ASIC accreditation (https://www.asicuk.com/international-directory/) should accept ENEB for admissions, and should be recognized internationally as CHEA accepts ASIC (https://www.chea.org/search-internationa...ltext=ASIC), and noted they contacted or researched the schools below for acceptance via ENEB. However it is unclear if they were accepted into all of them or not:

European Institute of Applied Science and Management - https://www.eiasm.cz/doctor-of-business-...ation-dba/#
Ligs University - https://ligsuniversity.com/management-dba
American International Theism University - https://aituedu.org/accelerated-ethereal...istration/
Horizons University - https://huparis.edu.eu/section/programs/...leadership#
OUS Royal Academy of Economics and Technology in Switzerland - https://www.ous.edu.eu/Studies/Studies-A-Z
Tavriya National University - https://tnu.edu.ua/doktorantura/

Another student got accepted to: Selinus University (https://www.uniselinus.education/degree-...e-learning) - PhD in Literature, via ENEB Isabel I diploma (Source 1: https://campus.eneb.com/mod/forum/discus...=535#p2484, Source 2: https://campus.eneb.com/mod/forum/discus...=304#p1654)
Finished: 2 AAs, 1 BA, 2 trade schools, 3 ENEB MAs, JLPT N1.
In Progress: 1 WGU MA, 2 Mastercurssos, 3 more ENEB MAs, teacher license.

The validation degrees such as MCA and IEAD that ENEB periodically offers are both titulo propio. The MCA degree is equivalent to a "state-approved" degree here in the US with propio status from UCAM and the IEAD has propio/certification status with UDIMA. So while they are legitimate, they are nothing more than extra pieces of paper. You are better off with getting a Validential evaluation or even a NACES evaluation than purchasing these validation degrees.

As far as UCAM degrees go, you can expect them to be evaluated similarly to ENEB if the programs are Titulo Propio.

Great list of potential programs from nykorn! There are a couple things I noticed when looking at doing some of these myself.

Open University UK is ~$4k per year for undergrad courses part-time. They assume 6 years of study to get the equivalent of a US bachelor's. I'm not sure if graduate tuition is more. If you were planning on doing something there anyway ENEB could say you some time and money.

The degrees from Queens College of Theology, West Coast Bible College & Seminary and most (all?) degrees from American International Theism University are religious degrees, as in they are NOT academic degrees. These will have minimal, likely zero, utility for making money. Source: I've had two religious doctorates for 7 years and never came close to making a dime with them. At $1400 Queens College of Theology is expensive for a religious doctorate, but not so obscene that you couldn't do it for fun if sufficiently motivated by the subject matter.

AITU is state accredited/approved in Florida and most/all of their doctoral degrees are pseudoreligious degrees (i.e. a doctorate in "ethereal business" instead of business to get around legal issues, not unlike the doctrinal doctorates mentioned elsewhere). On the interesting side, AITU has a doctorate in Islamic banking. In a secular sense this is a different form of banking. However, Florida's law lets them get out of saying ethereal because the name of a religion is in the title, despite the distinction only being partially theological in nature. I'm not confident I could make the $8000 tuition back with it though. I don't think it would be accepted in the UAE, which would be the main place to make money in Islamic banking. Those jobs are super competitive, with thousands of applications per job.  It is a dual degree program with University Malaysia of Computer Science & Engineering. It would require more research from someone that is serious about getting into Islamic banking as to whether or not that means anything outside of Malaysia. Might be good way to get your foot in the door if you want to move to Malaysia though. FWIW there is no mention of an Islamic banking doctorate on UNIMY's website. https://www.unimy.edu.my

Horizons has some interesting DBA specializations. A DBA there will take 3 years for a little over $11k. I scratched them off my list a long time ago because I didn't perceive Horizons as being a good enough school to warrant that level of investment. I'm open to someone changing my mind.

OUS Royal Academy has a new website. According to the old website all doctorate programs were offered in conjunction with TNU and degrees were only issued by TNU. May or may not be the case today and may or may not be the TNU in Ukraine. Doctorates are 20-30k euros now. https://www.academy.zuerich/tuition-fee

TNU is either about $1000 per degree, or about $1000 per class. The machine translation is not great and I know zero Ukrainian. I didn't see anything on the website that would lead me to believe the degrees are offered in English, but IF they offer doctorates in English for $1000 that would make one hell of a wombo combo with ENEB.
