ENEB Master Thread

I am curious - I can't see anywhere where it states that the qualification is "titulo propio"  is it documented anywhere?

I'm guessing you are curious if anything would actually tip off anyone who has not specifically researched about Spanish degrees. It may be in the wording "program, certificate" and not "degree, diploma",  or it may be in that it gives ECTS credit for the "entire degree" but does not break it down into ECTS per section/module (as in, transferring credits sounds like it would be impossible if you were trying to transfer out of a class titled the same as one of the sections. There is never going to be a course that is just straight called "MBA - 15 ECTS" for example).

I don't think the average person with no connection to the Spanish speaking world would have any idea. Also, when I Googled I found a whole bunch of stuff that would make everything more confusing if you didn't specifically research this stuff heavily (including titulo propio that directly state they're a titulo propio on the website but that call themselves, on the actual certificate awarded, what official university degrees from Italy call themselves). Also there's a company printing totally fake "replica" Universidad Isabel I degrees.

On a totally unrelated note, I completely failed to notice earlier that the actual dates of start and completion are printed on the degree. ENEB said my graduation is in April but they will probably print, as the completion date, the day the final exam grades were inputted and not any date in April, right...? Well shoot. Oh well.

Thought it was fitting since my colleague received the official offer yesterday–he is a US citizen working for a German company (living in Germany); his contract ended at the start of December, and he was waiting for an official word on if his contract would be extended. One requirement for the extension was a master's degree, and due to the time frame (6 months ago), the only viable option for him was ENEB. He submitted his transcript and evaluation from Validential and, fitting for a Christmas present, received a new contract with a pay bump. Of course, his work performance played a significant part in this contract, and per him, there would have been no offer without securing a master's with ENEB. 

It's nice to see another win on the books. Hopefully, there will continue to be some good examples moving forward.

Traditional route. It is doubtful that the MCQ form would have worked; however, that is only my perception, as it has not been attempted. He was also eager to learn new skills instead of testing his knowledge.

Wow that's great news, especially because people have been saying that the German "schools" are not accepting the ENEB Master's, but now we have proof some "employers" do just fine. However it's especially interesting that they accepted a (afaik) non NACES evaluation done by America for a degree not done in America, to be used in another country that is not America. I wonder if they would have accepted the same thing if the guy wasn't an American?

Is there anyone who can update the wiki to add a summary about how ENEB has been accepted or not accepted by employers in different countries, and not just schools?

This sentence had my head spinning, but it captures the scenario's key elements. Based on conversations, my guess is that his being American supported the nuances of the degree/validation documents. As I have said in different posts, the process was the same as any other degree after sharing official documents.

It should be noted that success with an employer does not overlap with German universities' acceptance of ENEB degrees for entry or transfer credits. This was an excellent victory, and the overarching goal continues to be for graduates to keep trying and, hopefully, racking up more success stories over time.

The ENEB.es site has several degrees only offered in Spanish. I completed the "Coaching and Emotional Intelligence" degree program.

Are the Spanish-language courses available for the same discounted rates as the English ones?

Also, I'm not seeing the 'Coaching and Emotional Intelligence' program any longer, but there is a 'Coaching and Mindfulness' degree on offer now:

Did your program have the same or roughly similar set of modules?

It appears that they updated their academic programs. More than half of the courses are different from my "Coaching and Emotional Intelligence" program, but the number of courses are the same.

ENEB Spanish campus uses online offer sites to sell their degree programs like their English campus. I bought one on a site called OfertaSimple, but they use other ones specific to the Spanish-speaking customers.

The newer program is less coaching specific and more business and project management focused. For me, that's a loss as I'd rather have more of the coaching & emotional skills than general business courses, but perhaps the newer combination of modules is in higher demand with their current student body.

I noticed one of Universidad Isabel 1's partner institution, ISEB, offers a master's degree program in coaching similar to the one that I completed at ENEB (no longer available). However, it is slightly over 2,000 euros. It is still something to consider if you're really interested in a master's degree in coaching.

Your breakdown of what unfolded is accurate, but my head spun slightly. It reads complicated as many try to make education, and at the end of the day, it breaks down to–Try Succeed or Try Fail. It should be noted that success with a company in Germany does not allude to success in program acceptance or credit transfer with universities in Germany.  

This thread has become a Position-based Debate versus an Interest-Based discussion; our goals are more aligned than we tend to acknowledge, and anyone rooting against another person, no matter their position, is an odd way to spend the limited time we have on earth.
