ENEB Master Thread
(08-23-2020, 09:43 PM)JWells247 Wrote: I am just curious. Correct me if I am wrong, but from what I understand from reading through this forum there are titulo proprio in Spain and then there is also a different type of degree which will allow you to work in governmental positions (doctor, nurse, lawyer, or government business position). Out of curiosity what if you transferred an MBA from let's say WGU or Patten would it transfer in as the higher ranking degree in Spain than the "lower" titulo propio?

The other degree you're referring to is called "Oficial" (official). What it would transfer in as would depend on what the school you're transferring to offers, and what school-specific guidelines are in place. You'd have to get it evaluated by a program there, so it would be hard to say for sure how each school might take it.

Alright, finally going to jump on this. Groupon just ran the Dual Master's deal for $260 through a sitewide sale, going after the MBA and Big Data.

I'm looking to migrate to a European (or Pan-European) country anyway, so having a European degree is absolutely perfect.

Hopefully...hopefully...I can get through this before the not-to-be-named pandemic ends, that way my migration plans can resume.

The quizzes have the ability to be open book - although I can't find any policy on whether there's a specific rule against it. The quiz process is not dissimilar to the more simple TEEX courses.
The papers seem to involve a hypothetical business scenario and you have to make a marketing plan for Fictional Winery and break down the SWOT, demographics, channel mix etc... or you have to assess whether it makes sense for Fictional Mid-Sized Company to run a Big Data project to get info on their customers, why, and what type of project. The instructions are very specific, broken down by sections that ostensibly you should arrange your paper in the same sections according to instructions.
Look up the syllabus of the program on the website, see the sections. (There will be 11-14 depending on the program.) How many sub-sections there are will be how many quizzes. How many overall sections there are will be how many papers you need to write (11-14).
Maybe I should've sprung for the MBA+Master's to get the two-for-one. (Although I don't know that I'd put this particular MBA on my resume.)
I have just signed up for the same MBA+Master's Big Data.  How was your experience?  Did you complete the course? Was it beneficial in terms of gaining focused knowledge?

I'm still on them.
I do learn things an many of them match with the content of other graduate courses. I´m missing more deep in some parts tough but it can be that my interest in some parts of it draws me in. In general, I´m happy with it. But thing that each one is a year long in theory... so compared to many 2 year long MBA maybe you find it shorter. I'm not doing the MBA for the moment so on this one I cannot comment.
I'm doing them in Spanish so I have no clue how it is in English.
I´m taking this one easy and slowly and for the moment enjoying it.
When I finish maybe I have them evaluated by WES and then I decide.... I hope that somebody do it before to know the result there.

I'm still in the program as well, but it's not a cakewalk. I have a well-rounded understanding of a lot of the content because I've read three very detailed business administration books and was basically GM of my last job for over a year, but it's taken me 20 to 30 hours of actual work per unit between reading (100-200 pages per unit), research (15-30 reliable sources for each paper), and writing (average per unit is 14 pages for me).

As for focused knowledge, it seems pretty up to snuff for an MBA program that isn't AACSB accredited.

On each information page at ENEB, you can find the following:

Quote:ADMISSION
To access any of our Master’s programs, applicants must meet the following requirements:
  • Students holding a degree certificate.
  • Students currently studying for a graduate degree or equivalent higher education tittle.
  • Foreign students having an equivalent degree documented.
  • Professionals that already have a recognized position in the field.
  • In the unlikely event that you do not meet any of the above requirements, please contact the school and the admissions department will assess your case individually.

Someone on this forum has a UK masters without a bachelors so it's uncommon but not unheard of to get a higher degree without a lower one when certain circumstances apply.

It's possible to do in the US too, particularly at certain seminaries. I was enrolled in, and had almost completed my regionally accredited MA in Religion before I began my undergraduate work. Through the joys of TESU and SL/SDC I was able to have my BALS conferred first, but only because they had a September graduation and my MA institution had a December one, despite the MA being done for months before.

Can someone tell me what the ENEB application process is? Do you send in a transcript from the institution you graduated from? Do you list your employment history?

I got the info from speaking with several students: You sign up. Then send your activation code by email to the academy address. They'll send you back your initial login info, you take it to the site and sign in. Then, a window will display asking for all of your relevant details. Some have said they were able to bypass the transcript uploading, but eventually they caught up with them and asked for the transcripts. They will accept transcripts directly from you which is more common outside the U.S. where transcript delivery and acceptance has more expected official formalities.

I asked about employment history by email and was told that this is only relevant when decisions have to be made to enroll a student who lacks the educational background but may have the proper level of work experience.
