Hello all.
I've been searching for months and was referred here from a Sophia Learning Group.
My goal is to find a cheap, quick, self-paced Bachelors Degree so that I can continue on to a Masters in Edu. I want to be able to teach ECE to Adult Learners. (Open to Masters suggestions also.)
I have:
Assoc. in Early Childhood Education.
Additional 18 Credits in ECE/EDU.
Sophia Credits-Math and Public Speaking
I really appreciate any help. It's frustrating that each school wants you to enroll and pay fees to see what they accept or what program you classes you would need take.
TY Kindly

@JF143, Welcome to the board, that's a pretty good introduction post to the get the ball rolling, having said that, you need to fill us in with extra info that is requested of you from the template and addendum just right above your post. I'll link you there, copy/paste all the template and addendum info required, customize it with your details, this will give us a clearer overall picture of your situation and provide us enough details to go by. Your best bet will probably be the UMPI BLS w/Minor in Education.
You'll need to list your credits here, as follows:
School (NA or RA, semester or quarter system)
Course #, Full course name, # of credits, grade
If you have more than 1 school, do them each separately that way.
The "additional" credits should also be listed if they're from a school or ACE/NCCRS. Don't list them if they were not college credits (like if they were CEU's or something like that).
Sophia should also be listed on that post, just so we have all credits in a single place.

Thank you so much. I don't have my full subscripts info, at this moment but wanted to reply.
Associates in ECE: Community College 66 credits (GPA 4.0)
3 ECE Admin/Business Classes from Keystone College 9 Credits (GPA 4.0)
2 Edu Classes La Salle University 6 Credits (GPA 4.0)
Sophia: Math Foundations and Public Speaking
I looked into UMPI. I was interested, not a great response; mostly computer generated basic emails. Every time I tried to ask about degree path or what classes I had taken or could take there I just received an automated message saying to send my transcripts through service to be audited. Sometimes it would take days or weeks or them to reply. It's silly to pay to enroll and send transcripts to each college your may be interested in. I stopped inquiring and now just get random, automatic emails that say are you still interested reply yes or now.
Thank you again for your response.

If you filled out UMPI's "information form" on their website, you got sent to sales people who don't know what they're talking about. You have to talk to actual UMPI people. You can find the real email address and UMPI degree plans on the wiki here: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Category:UMPI
But, if you list out what you have already, we should have a pretty good idea of what will go where and what else you might need for UMPI.

Unfortunately, that's exactly what has happened, the enrollment counsellors/sales people most likely got your details... Oh well, you don't really need to apply to anywhere until you know your scenario (by doing the template/addendum). We can provide you a path forward, it may differ as we all think differently, but the essential steps may be the same... Anyways, the more details the better, the info added is a great addition to your original post, but not there yet.
There are other options that allow an education concentration, major, or minor, it really depends on your needs and if it allows a gradual ladder to the masters, you can do the following, UMPI BLS Education minor, Walden Childhood Education (Major), etc, and so on... ladder up from this option to the masters of your choice. Without knowing what you bring to the table, it's hard to recommend anything at the moment.

I'll skip over the Bachelor's-level discussion and suggest that Walden's self-paced Early Childhood Studies MS program could pique your interest further down the road. They offer two concentrations: Management, Administration, & Leadership, and Teaching & Learning. No need to have a BA/BS in ECE to complete either. If you'd want to be an ECE instructor specifically, having an MS in that field could be more beneficial to you than a general M.Ed. You already have the Associate's and other credits in ECE, so I think the MS would be fairly smooth sailing for you.
For your Bachelor's program, I agree that UMPI's BLS with an Education minor could work. You'd likely be doubling up on work you'd also need to do for the MS if you pursue an Education minor, since even the Management track featured lesson planning and pedagogy. Curious about the specific courses you've already taken.

There's absolutely nothing we can do with the general info on where you went to school - only the info about the courses I talked about in my post will do. So when you're able to get your transcripts, go ahead and put the info in.
Regarding UMPI, just as with any college, they will not be helpful without applying and then sending in your transcripts. They are just not equipped to give info like that over the phone. The simply cannot do anything without your transcripts, which will go to the registrar who will look at every course, determine what the equivalency is, and where it would fit into the degree you're looking at, and then put it all into an official evaluation. The people on the phone, whether it's enrollment or registration or financial aid or whatever, cannot answer any of the questions you're asking. Again, that is at ANY school.
Your job is to look at the degree you're interested in, and try to determine if that's the degree you want. How prior coursework will fit into that degree is the registrar's job. You have to pay to get that info. Unless you're here, in which case you can get a lot of the info for free...but you still have to give us the transcript info.
