I did one lesson in each class and the classes have just been removed from "my courses" in my account, I paid the 2 bucks around 8ish EST and was able to browse both classes then.
That is SO WRONG. Thumbs down degreeplan - not off to a good start.
I get it, it was an error- but certainly not a costly error, they should have let you guys roll with it. At the very least it bought them some VERY TARGETED marketing. Of course, now it's marketing of the wrong kind- oops. Rookie mistake 101.

DPW could have offered those two courses at $1 each if you purchase one at full price. I would assume they would still make some profit from that as other providers would be much cheaper than $752 for 9 credits that may duplicate course offerings from other ACE/NCCRS provider.
That would have given them some great yet simple advertising or marketing, their sales would go way up! Besides, it's almost Halloween, they could have "made a trick & treat mistake sale!". Maybe someone should email them and ask for a "Halloween trick or treat sale"...
Goals: TESU BSBA GM (Added CIS) and BA Computer Science
BSBA GM - Added CIS AOS (CIS & GM completed)

ASNSM CS: Completed, ASNSM Math: Remaining - Calculus I
Taking a majority of credits at Sophia.org, SL, and Study.com to finish these degrees
Updating my courses remaining by following forum advice, guide, spreadsheet & wiki

That was my thoughts exactly.
I've spoken with OD's CEO and MS's Executive Director and representatives of some the other alt providers. I've personally spread the word about some of them through this board and many other sources because I'm pretty passionate about alternative education. So mine and this forum's opinion has a pretty big influence on the relatively new and niche field of alternative college education.... And DPW just completely missed out on our endorsement.
Anyway that's their loss. Not my problem.

Yeah. They should study their Strategic Management Process course
Actually they're probably trying to go for convenient/quick and charge more. But I don't see that working well, because other places are pretty convenient and quick too.

for all we know they offer online courses to get some grant money or as a tax break or something and they don't care if anyone ever takes any of them. you can't really speak to someone else's business plan without seeing their books

It's not as convenient, but at that price, people can earn credits at a regionally accredited school.

They are probably counting on corporate/government agency customers who aren't aware of the competition. Then DPW can offer them a "big discount" on bulk orders of a few dozen or hundred courses. In reality, it'd be better to look into SL, SDC, Sophia, OD, etc for better quality, cheaper, and more proven courses for corporate/bulk courses.

It's a total guess since their website offers no "about" info, contact info, nada. Total ghosts. It takes more than that before I'll hand them $750 lol
