Ok so after going back and forth I've decided I'm going to go with UMPI over Excelsior because I think the BLS Accounting Minor will help with the Certified Financial Planner exam because of the two federal tax classes so why not.
Questions:
- How does my plan look?
- My goal is to be done with all remaining Sophia and Study.com classes by 11/22/22. Since the next term doesn't start till 1/17/23 is there any merit to taking the corresponding accounting classes on Study.com, so that when the term opens, I can just hit the ground running?
- Is it still recommended to take comp I and II at UMPI or can I just do it with Sophia since I'm not in a rush really?
Classes completed so far...

If you have the time and you REALLY enjoy giving money to Sophia for sitting around and waiting, then I guess you could do that. I personally would just take Soc and Spanish there and then be done. And maybe Intro to Finance, since that can't hurt the CFP journey.
If you're going to be handing cash to Study.com anyway, I'd take American Government, something else short like Presentation Skills, and MAYBE Comp I or II (or both). And if you want to take some UL courses anyway to hit the ground running, then it certainly can't hurt to take the UL Accounting courses at Study. Accounting 301: Applied Managerial Accounting will count as Business 220: Managerial Accounting at UMPI, so you lose the UL there. Accounting 201: Intermediate Accounting I and Accounting 202: Intermediate Accounting II at SDC count as UL at UMPI - so you might want to take the courses but not the final exams for credit and leave it at that.

I think the advantage for taking the Comp classes at Sophia is that there is no exam.
Why do you recommend taking American Government and Presentation Skills? Are those UL's? I don't think I need anymore LL's after I do the Comps, Spanish, and Sociology, right?

You didn't list American Govt. which is required for General Education.
Also someone recently reported Conflict Resolution doesn't work for 1C so you might need Communication at Work. (The Wiki will need to be updated if Conflict Resolution doesn't work)

I would have Jessica do a degree plan for you. While the Wiki says not to contact UMPI until everything is completed, I did and she was able to work with the Transfer Dept to take classes that I didn't think UMPI would accept (RA- SPE 108 = PCJ 215 and Com 210, IC Spanish = SPA 101, RA BLW 203 = BUS 353). UMPI also went through the list of classes I had planned to take at Sophia, IC and SDC to make sure they would transfer. The reassurance that I wasn't wasting time and effort on classes that wouldn't result in credit really me comfortable. Its a huge part of the reason for going with UMPI over TESU were I was already enrolled.

I'd love to do that! How do I contact Jessica?

If you do decide to do that, you can drop down to the $60/mo membership since you don't need to earn college credit. However, I would think there are probably free resources for self study that would do as well. For example, here are some free textbooks:
https://open.umn.edu/opentextbooks/subjects/accounting
NanoDegree: Intro to Self-Driving Cars (2019)
Coursera: Stanford Machine Learning (2019)
TESU: BA in Comp Sci (2016)
TECEP:Env Ethics (2015); TESU PLA:Software Eng, Computer Arch, C++, Advanced C++, Data Struct (2015); TESU Courses:Capstone, Database Mngmnt Sys, Op Sys, Artificial Intel, Discrete Math, Intro to Portfolio Dev, Intro PLA (2014-16); DSST:Anthro, Pers Fin, Astronomy (2014); CLEP:Intro to Soc (2014); Saylor.org:Intro to Computers (2014); CC: 69 units (1980-88)

Yes, continue with your Sophia.org subscription and take the courses you are wanting before you begin at UMPI. If you're going with Study.com, I would "finish" the subscription for Sophia.org first. Another option for Study.com for Accounting for other courses is to get the 30% off for the first 3 months by following this thread or post: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...#pid377106
