One-time Residency Requirement
#1
Just wanted to clarify: UMPI only has a 1-time residency requirement (30 credits) that you must complete with them (UMPI). After that, you can transfer the remaining amount of credits/courses towards the next degree. You would just have to pay the cost of tuition for that semester and have all credits needed transferred within that semester. Essentially, if you complete a Bachelor's at UMPI (you should be transferring in the maximum 90 credits anyway and knocking out 30 credits there) through YourPace, you simply transfer the remaining courses/credits needed for the next degree you wish to pursue. That means if you only need to do 2 courses to complete the degree plan for the next degree you wish to pursue there, then you only need to transfer/complete 2 courses for that degree plan. If it's 4 courses, you can transfer in the 4 courses.

I suspect most people would still need to do close to 10 at UMPI given the upper division requirements for most degrees.

Double major makes more sense and looks less odd then going back to the same school for a 2nd BA.

You've always been able to have a double major. When I did my BLS I had to wait for my degree to confer then reapply. Then I could start my BABA and I had to complete an additional 30 credits at UMPI after my degree was conferred. Only the BLS had this policy. The BAs did not.

BAS, BLS are two very general degrees with about 60 credits of electives, these degrees can only be the first degree at UMPI... This one time residency requirements is a very good option that rivals TESU for those who want to complete more than one degree. For example, someone may want to do the BAS/BLS with a minor, then do a BA or BABA with a different concentration or major, the requirements of the concentration or major will have at least 30 credits that are different. You'll still need to complete those requirements, but they're letting you transfer the majority into the subsequent degree...
