I have a TECEP class in My Courses but I can't find a date that I must take the class? I assume "by the end of the semester," but when is that?

I can't remember where it is hiding, but there is a place in the options that shows the timeframe to pass these exams. If you signed up for the September term, you have to ñass them before Nov 19th.

TECEP exams go by the normal TESU Academic Calendar. You can test on any date in that range.
The September 2023 term is August 28-November 19th. The October 2023 term is September 25-December 17.

And I've mentioned this many times, don't wait for the last day to complete the TECEPs, there are times when people are on the West coast (like me) and the TESU system is on the East coast. They go past the day and they aren't able to take the exam... I tell people to complete their exam a week before the end date, that's the safest, I highly recommend nothing less unless you have to, a max of a couple of days buffer just in case 'something happens'.

Definitely, try to avoid scheduling exams in the first or last week of the term. Early on, the testing office might not have the exam set up right yet. If you're testing on paper, it typically takes a few weeks into the term for exam packets to arrive at the proctor. At the end of the term, there might not be enough time to resolve any issues that come up before the testing window closes. Also TESU doesn't like it if they don't have enough time to grade and process exam results before final term grades are due.

I see the term dates using the Undergraduate Calendar link, but it seems reasonable that they'd list such information in the course details on mycourses.tesu.edu. Is it not possible to find dates there? Is referencing the Academic Calendar the only way to know about your courses?

It's best to look at the calendar link for reference AND also look at your "My Progress Schedule" Calendar. Here's an example TECEP of mine, it has the dates showing. Make sure the TECEP is completed a week before the end date, enter in an alarm onto your personal calendar if needed as a reminder...

Again, place a reminder into your phone or laptop calendar to make sure it's done a week before term ends... Where would I find this "My Progress Schedule?" I can't find it on my.tesu.edu or mycourses.tesu.edu.

Here are the steps:
1) Log into My Edison and on the lower left, click the New OSS Link under Student Self Service. 2) Click My Progress and Student Planning (I've included both of these in the screenshot below) 3) You'll be presented with two menu options, it doesn't matter which one you select, I select the second link Plan & Schedule, it's under Schedule. Note: Obviously you want to check the correct term dates, I have ones for September and ones for October.
