Hi. This was posted in another thread, but I thought it deserved a thread all its own. Credit goes to jtalama for starting that thread and Tedium for posting about the DSST discount.
The National Education Alliance has a membership available that offers various educational discounts, including $10 off DSST's for a year. See
NEA Member Benefits for details on discounts. You can register at
National Education Alliance Register. Normally the 1-year membership costs about $100 but you can get it for free using the discount code from this website
iStudySmart.com Partners with National Education Alliance Counseling Center
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the information. I just realized that I need a few (understatement!) more tests, and this will come in handy. Good luck on your quest for a degree in a year.

Just when you thought college credit couldn't get any cheaper... out comes discount codes. lol
Not a small one either... $10 of of $80 is 12.5% off. If you're not paying a Procter fee, then that's just over $23 a credit hour.
Thanks Tedium for the info, and SDO for the thread (I didn't know of it till this thread...)

Do you mean that your paid $5 for a DSST practice exam? If so, no, you don't take those at a test center (proctored). Those practice exams can be taken on any computer. That is why you must create a username and password to use for the practice exams (on your personal computer) and then a completely different username and password for taking the actual exams (at the test center).
