I will be taking two DSST exams that are paper-and-pencil based at my testing center. Both have been on the refreshed list.
Are the paper versions refreshed? Will I get a 3-digit score?
Thanks for your help.

Thank you for your response.
The test center I use is small (very few people use it on a monthly basis). I just asked and the proctor thinks the versions they have are the old ones.
Am I still allowed to take the old versions and possibly receive a grade at EC?
Thanks again for your help with this.

That's a pickle. The question is 'Will they count if you're handed an old version of the test to take.'
I would follow up with the DSST people prior to going, just in case. If its the fault of the testing center, they'd probably let you take the correct test FOC, but you never know.

Thanks TMW2010.
I really do not want to take these exams twice and risk missing the graduation deadline, so I sent a couple of messages to find out the policies.
If anyone has been in this particular "pickle" before, please share what happened.

I called DSST. I was told that the testing center needs to call DSST, and with some information, DSST will be able to verify if it is a valid exam.

Better safe than sorry, especially if you have to travel awhile to get to the center. Hopefully they either have a valid test or DSST can get the valid tests to them in time for you.

There have been some surprising developments in the DSST story. The testing center was told by DSST that the test is valid, but it is an old version that will receive a 2-digit score. Excelsior has said it is fine to take the old version as long as DSST says the test is valid.
I think this will give me the unexpected opportunity to receive some graded credits. Studying has been more difficult than I expected; it has been like learning a new language. I am not entirely sure I want a grade for this, but I think I will try it anyway. Since I am not in a hurry to finish my degree, hopefully I can take the new version that is pass/fail at a later time, if needed.

NAP, thanks for posting this info. I wonder how many of the old two-digit versions are still out there. This sounds like a great opportunity for you to earn graded credit if you want to, and I don't think you'll have anything to worry about based on your previous (fantastic!) scores.
