Just an FYI (apologies if this was announced already in this forum), but DSST exam fees will be going up from $70 to $80 starting November 1st, according to their website.

I'm in the same situation as you, taking Prin. of Finance in mid-November. By far the toughest exam to study for... Good luck!

I took it today and it was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Somehow I pulled off a 50 (B @ EC) from studying only late last night and early in the morning...not at all a good idea, but it is possible if you have basic accounting knowledge. From what I read on the specific exam feedback thread, I was expecting the exam from hell, but I was able to make good educated guesses on most of the questions I wasn't sure about. Plus I used my TIBAII+ calculator, which I'm sure is the main reason I passed. Just follow the advice on the specific exam thread and you will do fine

I got a used HP 10BII, so I'm hoping that it'll be good enough for me that day too.

Thanks. From what I have heard, the HP is quite a bit easier to use and is overall a better calculator. So I am sure that will be good. The reason I chose the TI was because the newer version of the HP says financial calculator in fairly large letters and because the TI seems to have more tutorials out there for it, but that is probably because it is more confusing...
