Credit Duplication - CLEP General Mathematics / CLEP Algebra & Calculus
#1
Hello,

I'm looking at using CLEP Calculus, CLEP Algebra and CLEP General Mathematics on my TESC BSBA degree plan. Do you think I will experience any credit duplication issues between the two specific math tests and the general one?

Thank you,
Ben

There should not be any duplication between the CLEP math tests. CLEP College Math is transcribed as MAT-102+103, College Algebra as MAT-121, Pre-Calculus as MAT-129, and Calculus as MAT-231.

Hope this helps.

Speaking of math credit duplication, does anyone know if the ALEKS College Algebra and Pre-Calc classes duplicate credits at any of the big 3? I know at some B&M schools they are basically the same class (basically Algebra II + Trig) but it came up in a conversation and I thought I'd ask.

In the same vein, does anyone know if the ALEKS College Algebra class fulfills the pre-calc requirements for degrees at TESC/EC?

Thanks!

Merlin, for TESC, ALEKS College Algebra and Pre-calculus do not duplicate. I think Trigonometry or Algebra with Trig. might duplicate Pre-calc., but I am not sure. ALEKS College Algebra does not fulfill the pre-calc requirement for TESC, you have to take pre-calc.

bsbastudent, you're welcome Smile

Dig around the forum a bit. I'm 99.9975% certain Trig qualifies for Precal at TESC. In fact, I'm counting on it...
