Yes, they are.

It is an accepted source of credits in the OU UK.

It's an approved degree for diploma equivalence in Indonesia (only accredited and official degree are recognized formally here)

The university has been state-recognized since 1999 and accredited by the German Science and Humanities Council in 2009 and 2021.

They also appear in the WES list.

One of my favourite tools to check the credibility of institutions is by looking at their official LinkedIn profile.
https://www.linkedin.com/school/iu-hochschule/
Over 29,319 alumni, almost all of them are from Germany. You can search with any keyword to check the profile of alumni.

MSc ML/AI (LJMU, UK), 2022

It's a legit private university in Germany, they have both online and on campus programs.
Their online program pricing is interesting though. You pay by month, but the real price depends on which country you are from.
I did an experiment with my friends, we used different VPN/ IP address to open their website, and get different prices.

IIRC, someone here tried to sign up at IU for some degree. They spent 4-6 months trying to become enrolled, not hearing back from the school, before giving up.

Yes, they have different pricing for specific regions, it's interesting really. Although they are accredited, inexpensive, and have the degree programs that I am looking at, their response times and speed at getting things done are not up to par... I would recommend researching other alternatives before looking at this institution.

They are now offering dual-degrees with London South Bank University (public UK university) for some programs, like Data Science, if you have 2+ years of relevant work experience. Would be interesting if you can somehow avail yourself of the price discrimination with a VPN.

They will permit you to challenge up to 10 ECTS via LinkedIn Learning for some programs at the Bachelor's level. Not sure if transfer credit is permitted.

They have sample degree certificates here for both IU and LSBU: https://www.iu.org/my-university/forms-documents/

It's a legit private school in Germany, where most universities are public. In my own opinion, it is the equivalent of a US for-profit (Walden, Devry, Phoenix, etc) in terms of reputation/recognition. Not prestigious and maybe a little stigma from local employers, but legit accredited and not diploma mills. Similar to for-profits, the moment you reach out to them, expect a barrage of follow-ups by agents eager to "help you" make your decision. There's a ton of reviews online (do a google search) so you'll understand what I mean.
