My advisor and a student support person told me my transcript would say Degree awarded: Bachelor of Arts:
Area of study Liberal studies/mathematics and natural sciences.
I was told this by two different people on two separate occasions to confirm before I applied for grad school and told them my degree name. So I applied and told my grad schools that was my degree title
A few months later I recieve a commencement email with a different degree title so I ask the same student support person who told me it would be as above and they told me it would say pretty much:
Bachelor of Arts with an area of study in liberal arts and concentration in mathematics and natural sciences. Which is fine, I just wish they'd have given me the correct information. I asked if I could have my transcript say what they and my advisor told me initially and they said no that would be fraud.
Out of curiosity what does your BALS say? With any concentration?

Bummer - if you'd have asked here (on a forum unrelated to this school in any way), we'd have given you the correct info.
There is no possible way they will change your transcript just because they gave you incorrect info.
The good news is, the schools you applied to will probably not hold this against you, because it is not a big deal. To most schools, and Area of Study and a Concentration (and a Minor as well) are just about the same darn thing.

Yes . When you graduated they provided you with an official transcript copy, so you can confirm this yourself if you look at that. My transcript copy was tucked inside the diploma jacket.

Hmm, for some reason, if it was for me, I'd like it the way it is...
There really isn't a way to change it anymore, take it as it is now.
If asked, you can tell them you have a Liberal Studies Major
And within that major, you have a concentration as well.
Degree: Bachelor of Arts
Area of Study: Liberal Studies
Concentration: Mathematics & Natural Sciences
