Computer aps. afraid to test
#1
I was more than ready to test for information system and computer aps. CLEP. I studied text book and instacert nonstop and felt I knew more than enough to test. At the last minute I went to Petersons site from info given here and now I dont think I'm ready. I scored a 53, 42 and 45. My problem was about 20% of the questions and answers were in abreviated form. Ex. RLTP OLTP MICR DSS. I had no clue to these and had to guess. The other qusestions I knew without a problem. Does anyone know if the actual CLEP test is abreviatated like Petersons is? I'm putting off testing until I know, I might have to go back and memorize abreviations.

Armymom,

I remember the abbreviations on the Peterson mock freaked me out too. The actual exam does not include so many abbreviations. You might need to know some basic ones (OS, DSS, LAN, WAN). But if I recall correctly, the CLEP tended to write most things out in full.

I did a LOT better on the actual exam than I did on the Peterson mocks.

Don't be afraid!

Hope this helps,
Snazzlefrag
My name is Rob

Yes that does relieve a lot of stress. My test center is moving to its new building this weekend, so Monday I'll be getting my test date. I think until then I'll stick to what I know and review. I'll keep the site posted of my test results. Thanks a bunch....
