Strunk & White? That's like learning to drive a car by first getting a PhD in engineering so you can build the car yourself.
You need to learn to drive the car first. Then you can learn how to build it. Just spend time reading and writing, as much as you can, and yes watching TV/movies as well. I had some friends in Afghanistan who learned to speak Hindi by watching Indian movies. A lot. I've known Americans who learned to speak Japanese by watching lots of Japanese movies.
Once you can read and write comfortably, then it is time to start trying to write more formally. That is when something like Strunk & White becomes helpful. Until then it will only confuse you.
