Hi fellow forum junkies,
My next graduate course is going to be HIST-552 The Civil War, and I am turning to you guys to help me find some videos that I can watch. I am already downloading the Ken Burns series, (which will take about 10 days), but was wondering if you all know of other History channel videos or documentaries out there?
I'm trying to watch the videos before I start the course to get ahead.
Thanks in advance,

Check youtube for videos on the Civil War - I watched David Blight's 27 hour course on Civil War & Reconstruction. He teaches at Yale and you can download MP3 files for the same course. I learned alot - Burns' series is okay, but Blight's is better.

If you happen to have Netflix streaming, you don't have to wait for your download of Burns series. I noticed it was available a couple of weeks ago for streaming.

Gods and Generals actually helped me answer a few questions when I took the DSST Civil War and Reconstruction. Good movie.

I just got an email form APUS with a previous course syllabus, and they have these same video links you mention so we can watch the lectures. I guess I'll start getting ahead of the game.
