Hey all
I wasn't sure if everyone knew this or not, but I've been researching Chiropractic Schools and I've found a few already that accept degrees through schools with national accreditation...so you could become a Doctor of Chiropractic with a bachelor's from Ashworth College plus some science courses.
The also seem very open to credits via exam.

Chiropractic School Admission Requirements| Sherman College of Chiropractic
I wonder if they would accept straighterline courses for the science pre-reqs....
Pretty cool though right?

As a laundering method, this is only cool if the chiropractic school is RA (not all are) because otherwise you could run into state licensing issues.

What do most chiropractors actually make? How much debt does the average chiropractic graduate have? Is enrollment in chiropractic colleges declining? How many chiropractic schools have closed? Answers to those questions answer your question.

My friend has a doctor of physical therapy from the University of St Augustine, which is nationally accredited. The school has a 96% pass rate on the physical therapy exam required for licensure.
They have a distance learning flex option but I recommend the on-campus option for all the parties that occur immediately after enrolling

The only question I asked was
"I wonder if they would accept straighterline courses for the science pre-reqs?...."
Unless you count the "pretty cool huh?"
So,, you didn't really answer anything. Thanks for ummm nothing lol. I guess you're telling me to go look all of this up but you seem to already know. Why didn't you just post what you already know so you can actually help people out?????????????????????????????????
I might be young and naive but I really thought this was a good profession, if you know otherwise please tell! Yes I already did plenty of research, but I came here to see what you guys thought. :hurray:

My step-dad is a chiropractor. He graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport ("the" top chiro school) and has owned his own practice forever. Yeah, we were always broke.

There's a poster here, bogey72, who trained as a chiropractor, without having earned a bachelor's degree.
bogey came here in the process of leaving the field; earning a bachelor's degree from TESC as just the first step to qualifying as a middle school or high school teacher. I think there are many stories like this; bogey mentioned having found at least one other Doctor of Chiropractice-to-TESC-undergraduate transfer elsewhere online.

Chiropractic is a sinking ship. No sense in going into all that debt to come out as a second class healthcare provider fighting an uphill battle against unscrupulous chiropractors and negative public perception. The better path is RN, NP, PT, or my favorite-Physician Asst. For most people, the only thing that would be a worse decision is going to a 3rd tier law school or getting a PhD in something equally useless.
14 years in chiropractic and I can't wait to get out. You want to know the real tragedy? Chiropractic actually works very well for many conditions. LBP, neck pain, radicular symptoms, headaches, etc respond very well to a few manipulations. Unfortunately, insurance problems and reimbursement environment make it very hard to be profitable. Because a large number of chiropractors are die-hard "subluxation based", "bring your whole family in" types, the general public and mainstream healthcare shun us entirely and for good reason.
I'm sorry, probably too much detail. Suffice it to say that almost everyone that chooses NOT TO GO TO CHIROPRACTIC SCHOOL made the right choice.
BTW, there are only 2 qualifications to be admitted to chiro school: 1. Have a pulse and 2. be eligible for federal student loans. (Actually there are a few more, but if you meet the first two criteria, they'll get you in the classroom).
Just say NO!
