Cheapest online masters - eneb the only option?
#21
Thanks to those who offered advice, I'll look into the options suggested, much appreciated.

As far as not having a bachelors - in the UK I've already been accepted for a normal/reputable UK university based on my work experience, so doing a masters without a bachelors may be a bit more acceptable here than wherever you guys are (assuming US)? But at £10k+ a year and the salary deduction from the time taken off work, it's just not affordable. And again, I'm from the UK where salaries are very low, the same job in the US comes with a 4x salary so its not that easy to pay ££££ for a degree that wouldn't give me a salary increase to make up for it.

It's not a "trick"/loophole to get a job without having a bachelors, I already have a job/well-established career and can get any job in my field without a degree - I've never been asked about a degree once in the last almost 15yrs of my employment history, having a degree wouldn't give me any sort of salary increase/benefit. I hire people in this field without degrees, it's pretty common. The only reason I need one is to pass a particular step in the Australian visa process - and they accept a masters without a bachelors, and getting a masters in a year is a bit easier to explain than managing to do a bachelors in a year. When it comes to the actual employer - they're not interested in me having any degree.

Just one question @thisisausername , you mean that you would do an "integrated master degree" and that they will accept the work experience as part of the education/ educative charge?
answering to your situation, It's not what you have been ask in work to posses in degrees. Education and work go different lines. UK is in a 3 tier system (Bachelors, master, PhD). The only way I know of doing a master degree without a bachelor is doing an integrated master degree. Where they make the bachelor and master together. A kind of 3+1= 4 years. In this cases sometimes if you have experience, certification etc you can validate a great part of the education process. Add some credits by exam or heavy load credits per semester and you can get a master in 1.5 to 2 years (maybe even less, I guess).
In the past(or still in some very concrete cases) other countries had similar degrees in Europe like Germany Diplom (which could last 5 years or 300 ECTS), not to be confused with Diplom(FH)(which was a bachelor), or the Spanish Licenciatura (which could be a bachelor 4 years with 240 ECTS or 5-6 years master degree 300-360 ECTS). In this cases you where doing 300 ETCS, or 150 US credits, of AOS content, beeing very focused degrees on the study at hand.

Even better price if you register with Gururo - Indian Edtech  https://gururo.com/iu-lsbu-mba/
What's the total price at Gururo?

Around 251.000 ~$3k

I'm looking to migrate from the UK to Australia but the role I have requires a degree or higher level qualification to complete the Skills Assessment (despite my 10 years of experience in the job without a degree so far  Dodgy )

I can't do in person around my job, and cant afford the high costs of all the online masters I've found so far.

Is ENEB the only sub £2k Masters out there? I can't find any information as to whether this will be accepted in Australia so I've been looking for alternatives but can't seem to find any?

Do they exist or am I being ridiculous in hoping they do? Big Grin Additionally if anyone knows anything about whether the ENEB masters are accepted in Aus I'd love to know.

Thank you!
I saw ENEB program only $250 ?

So this is an example of what I had applied for in the UK https://www.northumbria.ac.uk/study-at-n...t-dtfbdn6/

Entry requirements: 2:2 bachelors degree or significant work experience within the field but looks like a normal masters to me?

This thread so reminds me of the person who has a few accounts, trying to decide how to proceed with their education.  I mean, the individual started comparing a $300 ENEB to a $30K Masters.  Anyways, what you're looking at from Northumbria is not as affordable as you thought.  You haven't done the template/last post addendum so we don't know your budget, commitments, study habits, or scenario, I suggest you fill that information in first.  Link: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Forum-D...ing-Advice

Here's the fees for Northumbria from the link you provided.
Full UK Fee: £11,250
Full EU Fee: £19,000
Full International Fee: £19,000

Oh yes, sorry I think we have our wires crossed - I'm saying the Northumbria masters is unaffordable but I got accepted without a bachelors so its possible in the UK to do a masters without prior qualification based on experience alone, and I'm not trying "tricks" etc. to avoid the bachelors, and I'm definitely not comparing the quality of a real uni vs. eneb. I'll go and post in the degree planning forum now Smile

Real Uni vs. ENEB begins a slippery slope. If an ENEB degree can get you:

Transfer credits into multiple RA University
Accepted into an RA & NA Universities doctorate program

It's real. I know this was your close-out on the topic; however, it felt worth including in the thread.

I would have to say options are extremely limited for transfer. It's a loophole degree basically. From my understanding, the master's degree when evaluated was compared to a graduate-level certificate which few schools may accept. The only doctoral program I know accepted ENEB was VUL, which seems not to care as they are just trying to enroll as many students as possible.

Limited doesn't equal Not Real is the only position I was highlighting.

Liberty has also confirmed acceptance.  That is why I mentioned RA & NA.
