While browsing Groupon, I came across this offer: https://www.groupon.de/deals/e-courses4y...e-software
For those who don't speak German, it appears that they give you access to both their MS Office training course(s) AND the MS Office software itself. Office 2016 is as cheap as €20 for the student edition. MS Office Professional 2021 for 1 computer is €90. There are other options in between. The company itself appears to be in the UK and at least some of the comments on Groupon are that they only received instructions in English, so there should be no problem there.

Yeah, definitely. I know that some people here have asked about how to get free/cheap Office in the past for school purposes. LibreOffice is good, but not super compatible with MS Office.

If you sign up for UMPI or TESU once you get there .edu you get office for free. For UMPI you don’t need to enroll yet. Apply and simply postpone and let them know you want to finish more transfer classes.
For TESU just apply and get accepted.

This is for the MS Office 2016 version right? How about the MS Office 2021 at StackSocial.com for $49.99 USD. I think it depends on what the upgrades are on that newer version, I haven't read what's updated yet, but this seems like a good deal for Office 2021. Is this a better deal if you need the latest/greatest, or is 2016 enough to last for a while longer? Link: https://stacksocial.com/sales/microsoft-...or-windows

Isn’t Office 2021 subscription only? I was of the impression that the last full, non-expiring license for Office was 2016.
I did hear they were going to offer a new permanent license… is this it?
I found a permanent Office 2016 license for about $60. That was about 8 months ago. I found it was a pain to use the Grammarly plug in with the TESU free office because the TESU IT admin had disabled plug-ins for Office. .

For me the only GOOD Microsoft program is a DEAD one. After 30+ years of MS-Tyranny, (Starting with MS-DOS) I've been Microsoft-Free for the past 3 years. In fact, everything I have on my computer is free.
My OS is Linux (Ubuntu 21.04). I get a free upgrade in 22.04 and every year - twice a year, if I want, and my Office Suite is Libre Office. Right, it's not 100% compatible with MS office - but I don't need it to be. I can get my docs, etc. printed anywhere. Happy camper here with Linux and all kinds of free software for past 3 years. I hear Open Office is pretty good, too.
Another Office System Alternative: Get a Chromebook (cheap) and use Google Docs (free for the average user.). I bet I save enough by avoiding Microsoft and other purveyors to buy a new laptop every 2 years if I want. Nah, I'd sooner buy another guitar .... I only have eight of them, so far.

TESU's Office is time-limited (6 months, IIRC). XAMK give you access to Office for longer. But, also, people might want/need Office for things like resumes after they've graduated and lost access to UMPI/TESU/XAMK free Office.

There are options for 2016, 2019, and 2021. Professional and student. I didn't know about the StackSocial deal, that's an even better price!

Stacksocial deal should still be valid for now... I just went to the site and it's offered for the same price.
However, after digging around, I came across a slight savings with this one here...
