Can Penn Foster's Business and Tech Writing be used as a Humanities Elective at TESC?

Hi,

I've been searching but I can't find the answer to this question. I've found a lot of posts that say this course meets the Business/Managerial Communications requirement at TESC and that it is transcribed differently than the Tech Writing DSST(ENG 201) so that they do not duplicate. I just want to make sure that it can be used by someone who is not pursuing a business degree. Apparently, it has been transcribed as ENG216. The ENG prefix makes me hopeful it can also be used as a general elective or a humanities requirement. Does anyone know for sure?

Yes, it will satisfy a humanites/general education requirement.


Thomas Edison State College/ Business Letter and Report Writing=
ENG-216 Business Letter and Report Writing
The student will be able to demonstrate knowledge of basic writing skills used in day-to-day business writing including formal and informal types of writing such as e-mails, memoranda, business letters, job descriptions, acceptance letters, acknowledgment letters and short reports. The student will also be able to address such topics as audience analysis; appropriate tone and clarity of expression; organization; and strategies for prioritizing writing assignments. Satisfies the humanities general education requirement.
