Which Sophia.org courses do I exactly need to take?
I came across this but I'm not understanding exactly which courses I need to take at Sophia and if only Sophia courses will be enough: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Pierpont_C%26TC
Are the courses under the "Sophia Equivalencies" section only general education courses? So take any 1 course under the communications heading, any 2 courses under mathematics/science (so even 2 math courses will work even though it says mathematics/science?), 1 under social science heading, 1 under computer literacy heading? This looks like 15 credits.
What do I take after those courses at Sophia to get the degree? It sounds like I need 45 more credits after the 15 credits. Typically you need 60 credits at colleges for an associate degree I think. I would be very grateful for any help I can get on this. Thank you.

Hey, it's pretty straight forward, you may have missed the info while reading the WIKI page.
1) Nope, you can get almost everything you need from Sophia.org though, except the graded credit.
2) As per your wiki link, take all of those required Sophia.org (15 credits), yes, those are the general eds.
3) Again, as per wiki link, you finish the remainder of the electives using Sophia.org (meaning any course you want).
Bonus 1: For the RA/Graded credit, easiest is to take the ASU 1 credit for $25, as per the wiki link (Did I point to wiki yet?)
Bonus 2: You should follow the Pierpont to UMPI link again.. Take all the Sophia.org credits you can take for 90 credits transfer. This route is your cheapest, easiest, fastest option... When you're done at Pierpont, you'll be already 3/4th to UMPI BLS with a minor of your choice.

Pierpont only specifies what is needed for 15 of the 60 credits. The remaining credits are allowed to be literally any valid credit they accept, not from any particular subject. If you're going to continue to UMPI, fill the remaining credits with things needed for UMPI's GEC requirements.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

Hey, if I try to bring in classes I've taken at other 4 year universities and community colleges could that hurt me? Like from 60 to 90 credits. Should I not try to bring these classes into Pierpoint or UMPI? Could I be denied a degree or admission at either because of too many credits? Would I get to pick which courses I get to transfer in if they all along with Sophia and stuff make up more than 120 credits? Could at least the general education courses transfer in if I do them at Sophia or some place like that?
I could just forget about these credits and just do Sophia courses. I should be able to finish those in a few months.
Can I also bring in credit from other places like CLEP exams, DSST exams, study.com and maybe other places like that? I don't see anywhere which of the tests would give you credit for what at both of the schools.

I completed my PP degree with mostly sophia classes, the ASU CIS 194, CSM Learners Course, and Google IT course through Coursera, and posted every class I took here, there was not 1 touchstone required.

Completed:
UMPI: BA Criminal Justice
Pierpont: AAS BOG w/ Emphasis in Information Systems
Sophia: 24 Courses - The CSM Course - ASU: CIS 194 Business Technology Fundamentals

1) No, you have to send in all transcripts from ACE and CC/Univ you have attended (they have access to the NSCH and can/will verify during graduation audit). You need to send them, all 60-90 or whatever you have already. You can bring in more than 120 credits, only 60 will go towards Peirpont and 90 can go towards UMPI, there are residency credits of 30 at UMPI.
2) If the case is that you bring over 90 credits, you can ask them to place your credits accordingly, it won't really matter until you get the evaluation. Your gen eds/electives will all come from the ACE/CLEP options such as Sophia.org or your CC/Univ credits. The major and bulk of those 30 credits residency is from UMPI.
Again, if you filled in the template/addendum I posted in your previous thread, you would have given us a clearer picture of what can/cant be transferred and if UMPI is the logical choice to ladder up to. Not everyone wants competency based degrees, some like to go very slowly course by course. Everything depends on the overview of your situation, without knowing that scenario, there are too many variables to give you a definitive or straight answer.

There is literally no such thing as "too many credits." Not only that, but UMPI will require you to send in your transcripts for all of those courses anyway. So you really have nothing to lose. I'm not even certain why you wouldn't want to send in all of your credits? That doesn't make a lot of sense.
If you list them all here, we can tell you where they will come in, and what you still might need to take.
School type (RA is assumed, semester or quarter)
course #, full course name, grade, # of credits
If you do this for every school you went to, we can help.

Once you've transferred credits initially from Sophia, CLEP, other colleges you went to, can you get more credits from Sophia, CLEP, study.com, etc. and transfer them in? Can you do this as many times as you want? I'm asking because Western Governors University (WGU) doesn't let you transfer more credits once you've begun taking classes with them. If I didn't meet all the requirements or have enough credits at Piperpong or UMPI after transferring in all the courses initially I could do more courses through Sophia, or maybe Study.com, CLEP, or DSST and hopefully get a degree or two.
After all these years I feel like I can finally get a degree or two and in a short amount of time after coming across the info on Piperpont and UMPI. Thanks.

WGU is the only school that does this from the ones commonly referred to here; once you enroll, you are done with transfers.
UMPI will allow you to continue transferring up until the date that you begin courses, and you can also request permission to continue taking outside courses.
TESU allows you to bring in courses all the way up until graduation; the only caveat is that you have to be an enrolled student to get unlimited evaluations. But that's easy and cheap to do ($52).
Excelsior allows you to bring in courses all the way up until graduation with the caveat that they will charge $300 for each evaluation after the first one. So your best bet there, if you want to save money, is to take ALL of the 113cr you plan on transferring in, choosing courses that we know will work, and then getting a single evaluation when you apply, then taking your final 3 courses there.

Are there other colleges for a bachelor's degree where can also finish without taking any class with them, by transferring from places like CLEP, DSST, Sophia, Study.com, etc?
According to this page UMPI requires a foreign language course: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Pi...egree_Plan. Or you're supposed to take something called an ACTFL exam. English is a second language for me but I don't know if I could pass an exam for any other language. So it sounds like UMPI is ruled out for me. It sounds like I'm only going to be getting an associate degree from Piperpont and then a bachelor's from WGU, unless I get suggestion for other colleges where I can finish with mostly CLEP, DSST, Sophia, Study.com, and places like that.
Also for UMPI according to that page it sounds like you need to do 4 Coursera certifications which could take a month each and 3 courses at Sophia (Intro to programming with Python, Intro to Relational Databases, Intro to web development) under Information Systems under Area of Emphasis on that page. So we're looking at maybe 5 months it sounds like. I think WGU would probably take me about the same time or maybe a little bit more so I think I'll just do the bachelor's at WGU. Thanks, I really appreciate all the info.
Edit: I want to do an associate degree in case for some reason I'm not able to finish a bachelor's at WGU, so I have something, and can maybe get a nice job. But I would try to study as hard as I can to finish the WGU bachelors of course.
