Calc 1 Provider?
#1
Good morning and Happy Memorial Day! A big thank you to all the veterans and family members of vets on this board!!

Quick question: besides study.com and StraighterLine, clep/dsst , does anyone know of any other places to take Calc 1 for college credit?

Thanks!

I believe in one of your previous posts you stated you did very well in Calc 1 (and 2 I believe?)

Were you naturally good at math? Any tips that led to your success in Calc?

Lots of practice is how a lot of people get through it. Personally, I found Precalculus to be tougher than Calculus (although I didn't take Multivariable Calculus).

Westcott has it for $569 (and Calc II & Calc III for $544 each). If you need more time than SL/Study.com. It goes on an RA transcript rather than ACE.

Yes, math is something I like. I took Calc 1, 2 & DiffEqu/LinAlg in community college long ago. I had to take discrete math online at TESU recently to complete my degree. I had noted that when doing advanced math courses online, having the solutions manual was indispensable.

I'm working on Calc 1 now. My approach is to use Khan Academy videos, and a cheap, out-dated textbook to teach myself. I'm going to attempt the CLEP first with a voucher from Modern States, and then do the Saylor course if I can't pass the CLEP. Between the two of them, I should be able to get credit. Just make sure to get a textbook with the answer key so that you can use all of the homework questions as practice. You can pick up an old textbook on just about any topic for $4-5 shipped if you go a few editions back from the current edition.
