CSU Credit by Exam
#1
Do you have to be a CSU student to take the CBE's? I took a few through Strayer that I got credit for before they stopped transcripting them for me because I wasn't enrolled...this was a while back.

I need one more upper level accounting course and it appears that CSU has one I could use. Thanks in advance!

You need to "enroll" as a non-degree seeking student.

I was told by them that this is a $25 application fee to do this, however I believe sanantone was told there is no fee to do this.

When you "request more info" on their site, someone will reach out to you and offer a voucher for the enrollment fee (at least they did for me).

There is a coupon code that I found on Google to waive the $25 fee. I don't remember what the code is. Usually when something has a discount code, I use Google to look for codes that might work.

Yeah, but I can't remember if I was given a coupon code or if there was a deal running at the time. What the others said is probably true. An admissions counselor might give you a deal, or you can possibly find a coupon code online.

Thanks for all the responses. That seems pretty reasonable. Does anyone know if enrolling as a non student requires sending all your official transcripts and such?

Nope, nothing needed other than getting signed up for the exam you want. When I signed up my husband, I think I just called, and they waived the fee. Here's the info on the admissions person I worked with, she was very nice and helpful.
