Someone might have prior experience to share, but given the content it shouldn't be a stretch to assume that those will be CAP/COS, MUS, and ART courses and based on the content that they will be lower level courses. They will fit your degree but are not area of study credits for Social Sciences (they fit into the general education areas of the degree). CSC104 - Computer Apps: Credit recommendation from ACE is "In the lower-division baccalaureate/associate degree category, 3 semester hours in computer applications or introduction to computers (6/07)." I'd guess it will be the same credits as the CLEP or DSST Computing Exams which is COS-101 Intro to Computing. You might be able to ask it to be coded differently but in the end you'll end up with a CAP or COS course and it will fit in the same area. That is a Natural Sciences/Mathematics course which can be used in your general education electives or as an extra Nat Sci/Math course depending on what space you have. Music Appreciation: Credit recommendation from ACE is "In the lower-division baccalaureate/associate degree category, 3 semester hours in music appreciation (6/07)." I'd say that is a good match to MUS-100 Music Appreciation. This fits in your Humanities or General Education elective areas (if there is room). Art Appreciation: Credit recommendation from ACE is "In the lower-division baccalaureate/associate degree category, 3 semester hours in art history (6/07)." I'd look for that to match ART-100 A World of Art, which TESC describes as an art appreciation course. That can fit into Humanities or General Education (if there is room). My codes show up at http://www2.tesc.edu/plasearch.php but don't neccessarily appear in the college catalog since that only shows courses that are offered. TESC has a huge database of course codes they don't offer but you have to use the above link. *ALSO NOTE YOU WILL WANT TO CHECK AND VERIFY THEY ARE NOT EXPIRED. TESC might take them still but if they are out of the dates that ACE has them certified then you may not get the credits. If they were renewed then maybe the site is out of date but you'll want to double check that Penn Foster has them re-cerified and current. I am seeing these dates as the only ones accepted for credit (using the ACE website at ACE | Home) Computer Apps (CSC104): Dates Offered: 6/1/2007 - 10/31/2012 Music Appreciation: Dates Offered: 3/1/1999 - 10/31/2012 Art Appreciation: Dates Offered: 3/1/1999 - 10/31/2012
My completed "non-traditional" credits include 27 credits from CLEP, 30 credits from DSST, 6 credits from ALEKS, 19 credits from FEMA courses including PDS, 3 credits from NFA courses, 10 credits from ACE Workplace Training, 3 credits from a TESC TECEP exam, and 3 credits from a TESC PLA course.

Computer Applications and Art Appreciation now say "present." It could change again though. The Penn Foster page on ACE has been a mess.
