TESU BA Computer Science
#1
Hello ! Can anyone advise for Computer Science courses that are able to fulfill TESU's BA in Computer Science req.

I'm unable to do CLEP, DSST, and AP exams as I'm not located in the States (There's no testing center where I am).

Modules I've completed so far from community colleges (For the CS major)

Calculus I (4)
Calculus II (4)
Discrete Math (3)
Java Programming I (3)
SQL Database (3)

So I'm looking at purely 'online' options to test out for credits for the remaining Computer Science Courses.

This is what I've shortlisted so far.

Study.com

Computer Science 102: Fundamentals of Information Technology (3)
Computer Science 103: Computer Concepts & Applications (3)
Computer Science 302: Systems Analysis & Design (3)
Computer Science 303: Database Management (3)

Straighter Line

Introduction to C++ (4)

Saylor

CS101: Introduction to Computer Science I (3)
CS102: Introduction to Computer Science II (3)
CS302: Software Engineering (3)
CS402: Computer Communications and Networks (3)

https://www.saylor.org/credit/#available-courses

I'm still looking around for the bottom 3 courses.

1) a Operating Systems course
2) a Computer Architecture course
3) a Data Structures course

If anyone has any idea where I can find those to self study/test out, would be great.

Else, I might need to enroll into a college to take those. (I'm thinking either FHSU or CMU)

If there's ways to improve my path, please do let me know ~

*I didn't mention the Gen Ed requirements as I've already completed an AA. I know TESU don't accept block transfers, but I'm trying to clear all the CS modules first

Thank You !

No, for TESU all transferred courses are just raw credits, no grades or GPA. I believe this applies to Excelsior as well.

For COSC you will get a letter grade and GPA from courses taken via Straighterline, but I'm not sure if any other sources of credit are treated the same.

Where did you complete the following? If you can still take courses from them and if they offer it, why not go through them?

Calculus I (4)
Calculus II (4)
Discrete Math (3)
Java Programming I (3)
SQL Database (3)

Did you check the NM, WV community colleges? Your best bet, might not be cheap/easy/fast option would most likely be Fort Hayes.
