Do CLEP exams satisfy the requirements of the CPA exam?

It depends on the state. In most states, CLEP exams are acceptable for this purpose.

You are better off checking directly with a rep from your state since a rule could have changed since someone on here last checked. From my experience (Illinois), they didn't care where credit came from so long as a regionally-accredited institution accepted the credit.

Good luck to you, the CPA exams are a whole new type of testing adventure lol.

Most, if not all, states accept them towards the 150 credit requirement, but some don't accept the business/accounting related CLEP credits towards the business or accounting credit requirements. States in the Southeast seem to be the most strict regarding this rule.
