Hello Everyone,
I'm new to CLEP, and thus need some advice. I'm sheduled to take CLEP on COmputer Info System on May 16th. Those who have taken CLEP on Computer Info Systems, could you please share your experience. How easy/ hard did you find the exam?
And also, please advise me with the study materials and where they can be found.
Thank you in advance,
Rup

Everything you need to pass this test is in the flashcard section- Know IC, pass the test, but study the EXPLANATIONS, not just the answer. If you still need more direction, look in the exam-specific thread. You will need to be a member, but I can honestly say it is the best money I have spent in my life.
I hope this helps, Greg

It is not very hard if you know the IC flashcards. If there are terms that you do not know, look them up on Wikipedia (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page). I would recommend taking either a Peterson's test or the Offical CLEP study guide practice test to be sure you are ready. If you get over a 60, you are probably ready to go.

If you are familiar at all with computers, it's not a hard exam at all. Study the IC flash cards, take the CLEP Practice exams, and I bought a used Computer book online for a buck fifty to fill in the blanks. You will do fine.

Know Acronym- You can weeded out choices
Know network types

I used IC and Ace the Clep, plus googled questions.

Guys,
I've test tomorrow. But till this point, i'm not sure if i covered all the materials - because i have relied only on IC flash cards. I have also googled some key strange terms from flash card. Did i cover enough to pass?
Any insights are cordially appreciated.

Before you leave for the test you might want to run through IC a few more times so the info is fresh in your mind. I've heard that wikipedia articles help a lot so if you still need help on terms wiki them! I think that you should be okay... just make sure you know the IC cards!
