Yes, that's one of the reasons I was recommending UMPI over WGU for undergrad, you can always again go for the UMPI MAOL or WGU MSML later on if you ever wanted to go to the next level. Cool, get your credits lined up and your spreadsheet created for reference or tracking purposes, then transfer in all your credits for evaluation, lastly complete the remaining requirements at UMPI for residency.

I completed the UMPI BABA in SCM with a minor in MIS within about six weeks for a total cost of $1,400 dollars at UMPI. I transferred in approximately 115 credits from previous college work, Sophia and Study.com. I took ten classes at UMPI. Overall I felt the program was thorough and did a good job of giving a very generalized overview of SCM along with a good background in business practices. Only two of the classes you need to take for the SCM major at UMPI will have an exam; all other courses are a research paper or some type of project.

Yes- I am the purchasing manager for a fortune 300 corporation. I've worked in this industry for nearly 20 years however I hit a glass ceiling due to the lack of a bachelors degree. There are certain promotions you just can't get without a bachelors in the Finance world.

WGU didn't have the SCM program when I was looking. I did consider attending WGU for a BBA but ultimately settled on UMPI because of the price (paid for it out of pocket) and because it is a brick and mortar school that is over 100 years old. If someone asks where you went to school, and they will during business lunches, it's a lot nicer to say "University of Maine" as opposed to WGU. At least that's my opinion.
