Read this a lot, and it may be the case for some;  my sister finished her Project Management degree by doing the following:

Sophia Project Management - BUS 141: Introduction to Project Management with Microsoft Projects

GOOG 0003: Google Project Management Professional Certificate - BUS 400: Project Management Applications

BUS 401: Advanced Project Management Applications II with Professor Carolyn Dorsey was one of her favorite courses finished over the weekend with an A.

We feel that the Coursera certification brings additional value outside the degree requirements; someone else may consider this the long way home.

Check out the UMPI BABA Project Management Degree Plan. There is a clear breakdown of the certifications approved for the degree. My sister pioneered several of them with a lot of effort working with the transfer committee and is excited to see those who follow get some wins because of it.

BUS 400 is exactly the same course as 401. You just repeat the same project using a different scenario. So it may be easier (and faster) to do both at UMPI.
CLEP - 7 Courses, Study.com - 11 Courses, Sophia - 15 Courses, CSM Learn, INSTANTCERT - Spanish I, Coursera - Google Data Analytics Certificate.

UMPI Double major BA Accounting, BABA Project Management. 2023

They were not the same course or the same project when I completed them. I had to use 2 entirely different projects. I also had to have far more details for BUS401 than BUS400.

Hmmm I guess that they changed it. I just took it last session and that's how professor Dorsey wanted me to do it

I'm hoping you (or anyone) can share some details about this course. I've searched everywhere, but the most I've found is reference to BUS 400 and BUS 401 using the template from BUS 141.

Some questions I have:
  • Is this just a paper?
  • Is the template available to students who didn't complete BUS 141??
  • Are there specific sections that need to be included with specific headings?
  • Are graphs or other graphics required?
  • Is there a word/page requirement?
  • Is MS Projects required?
  • Was it difficult to get Professor Dorsey to respond? She seems very hit or miss, either immediate response or no response at all.

It's a long project not a paper. We created the template in BUS141 for our projects and use it again in the other 2 courses so you'll have to create something on your own. The Final Assessment instructions will answer most of your questions. I did not have to use Project. I didn't even have access to Project. I had no problems with Vice Chancellor Dorsey responding, but it was a few years ago.

I'm trying to understand what this means. Did you turn in a Word document or something else? Is it some type of report? What is long about the project?

Does this mean that every student's personal format will look different, but their final for BUS 141, BUS 400, and BUS 401 will look similar? Is there any publicly available template that might correlate to these courses?

It depends. I used Word and Excel for my projects. You have some leeway in creating your project. Everyone's isn't the same.

There is no public template. You create your own. Vice Chancellor Dorsey has documents she emails to students in the course. I had a Zoom meeting with her and a phone call as well.

I suppose that's why there's so little specific information about these courses - the work varies according to the student.

Maybe I'll just take my best guess and send a draft.

Thank you again!

The instructions and rubric tell you what you need to do. When in doubt, always contact your professor. Professors change for classes all the time. Some of the Final Assessments have also changed. For these courses, Vice Chancellor Dorsey emails you several documents for the projects. She is open to Zoom meetings as well.

These are all excellent points with which I agree in principle. The concern that I mentioned earlier is that Vice Chancellor Dorsey seems to reply quickly or not at all, so there is a very real risk of running out of time. Given the choice between requiring an extra session because I'm waiting for a response that may never come and turning in suboptimal work, I will choose the latter.
