Anyone know anything about Arkansas State Online? Also have a question about doctorat
#1
ASU Online has quite a few master's level online only degrees in the $10-11k total range. They all appear to be 30 credit hour programs, but there's quite a few available and even a few ed.Ds in the same price range.

I was looking for a master's in AI and one of their programs fits the bill, although it's half MIS and 1/4 electives. https://degree.astate.edu/programs/ms-ap...rning.aspx

It's $331 per credit hour and sounds a little better being a state school, at least in my opinion.

I'm looking for an affordable doctorate I can do after a master's. I will be using student loans, so that's part of the reason.

oh wow, their RN to BSN is 8k, their MSN FNP is 14k

if you'd gone to a CC to get you AD in nursing, your total education cost would be like.. around 25k for everything and you'd be getting at least 70-80k/year once you start working.

that's crazy cheap

They're often recommended here for their MPA program, as it is a NASPAA accredited program bargain. A solid RA state school - many reasonably priced master options.

That is cool to know, I don't know about ASU but I am planning on attending the University of Central Arkansas for a Ph.D. and I picked it for the price (and credibility)

I applied to A-State but never completed enrollment. Coincidentally, I have been to campus for a work project and worked with a student volunteer and talked to her about the academics because I had some interest. She was very positive about her experience and the faculty... but she was a b&m student so your online mileage may vary.
The reps for the university I worked with for work were awesome. They were accommodating and awesome.
I spoke with an alum who was around my age that went to A-State back in his youth when it was much smaller and he had a lot of love for the school and had good things to say about the direction and growth over the last decades.
Again, none of this is all that relevant to what an online program would be like for you except to say that my impression of the school overall was that it has a great and student-supportive culture. They seem to do the right things for the right reasons. One would hope that translates to their online programs but YMMV.

I found the UCA grad school page and it is very affordable. They have a PhD in community leadership for $330 a credit hour. Very doable.

I'm looking for a research degree in technology, probably something to do with AI or data science. I want it to be as  affordable as possible because I'll be doing a master's degree as well. While my GPA is acceptable (over 3.0) I don't know what scholarships I'll qualify for or if I could get an assistantship. I will basically have 60k to do both a master's and doctorate, including help with living expenses.

If there were a program in the 10k range I could definitely swing it.

Update: I found Aspen.edu, and while the overall cost is fairly high (plus it's only DEAC), it does offer very affordable payment plans and is still under $30k.

UofPeople has a few master's programs and is also DEAC accredited, but no masters that I have seen.

I am looking into European options to see what I can do there since so many of them are free or absurdly cheap.

Yeah, Arkansas State and a few others have inexpensive online undergrad/graduate studies for out of state students. I suggest reviewing some that may interest you. Most public/state universities are more affordable than their private institution counterparts. In addition to Arkansas, I did another post on Missouri and West Virginia too. Are you looking at a specific graduate degree subject?

(03-15-2023, 11:41 AM)Aspen is currently show cause with DEAC. I would want to see this resolved before applying. I received my graduate degree from them many years ago and hope the pull through current issues. Wrote:
