Any suggestions for an Online MBA Program that accepts University of Phoenix Credits

eirwin71 Wrote:Look to finish my MBA. I am a 20 year employee of a major bank. I have completed 5 of the neccesary 12 classes. I am finding the UOP is very expensive and was wondering if anybody has any suggestions. UOP is charging about $2,350 per class. I cannot lose any credit hours and must do all online. Thoughts ? Please help!!!!

Concord? We are neighbors!

I am going to second the suggestion to pursue the APUS programs. American Public University and American Military University are the 2 schools within the APUS program. Since UoP is regionally accredited, you should have no trouble transferring the credit as long as it lines up with your new degree plan. Also, have you checked to see if your bank offers tuition reimbursement? MOST do.

I do not know. My guess is that the SL course will be treated as transfer credit.

Excelsior accepts up to 24 graduate credits for transfer into their MBA. However, their MBA ranges from 33-48 credit depending on which foundational courses you took beforehand. If you haven't taken those, you're looking at completing a 40-something credit MBA - and Excelsior's not much less expensive than Phoenix.
But definitely check it out - if you could somehow transfer in your 15 and only have to do 18 more, it could be a few thousand bucks cheaper than Phoenix.

Also, depending on which classes you took, if you don't mind getting a Master's in Management Degree which is pretty similar to an MBA, Excelsior's is only 30 credits and they allow up to 15 credits of transfer. Excelsior College | Masters Degrees | Management. So maybe you could already be halfway done with that one. Smile

Another option is AMU or APU. They allow 15 credits of transfer and they are MUCH cheaper than Phoenix. AMU is probably your best bet. It MIGHT be a couple extra classes that you weren't prepared to go for, but at least you'll save a bunch! Smile
