Pierpont lab
#1
My nephew is still sitting on the need for 1 credit of math or science for his BOG AAS. does anyone know if one of the labs from Sophia will work in that requirement ?

I believe it will work if the lab is chemistry or biology and the person did the sibling bio or chemistry course. I sent in Sophia Chem and Chem lab, so lets see what happens. Theoretically I have more than enough credits for Science AOE.

Just wondering, why not take a 3 credit course instead? Must it be a lab? I don't recall Pierpont BOG AAS requiring a lab course... If it's the same amount of work and you have time left on your subscription, you may consider taking both the science and the lab instead of one or the other.

Pierpont doesnt require a lab. The easiest way to do it at Sophia would be to just take a 3-credit course that doesn't match what's already been taken. Either Human Biology, Environmental Science, or Intro to Nutrition.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

UMPI has this requirement (that the course and lab have to be from the same place), but I have never heard that that is the case at Pierpont.

So you can literally take anything 1cr or more that doesn't duplicate anything you already have on the transcript.

If he's not super averse to math, consider the CSM Course. https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/CSM_Learn
Current: WGU BS, Cybersecurity and Information Assurance (086/122 credits)
Done: Pierpont AAS, Board of Governors: Information Systems emphasis (awarded Dec 2022)

The labs themselves usually have a touchstone. If using Sophia, it is likely much easier to take one of the easier science classes like:
introduction to nutrition
or
introduction to environment sciences

They do take it. I confirmed with Nancy last month about that.
