It has been a while since I posted on here (My 20 year old son is the one going for dual CIS/CS and ASNSM math). We created a spreadsheet for the degrees and got some great feedback here. Since then, he's just been working hard at completing all the alternative credits. He is about finished with them and looking to take the last 2 semesters at TESU. But, it is getting confusing because the way we laid out classes in our spreadsheet isn't the way that TSEU has brought them into the degrees. So, we created a new spreadsheet reflecting the way TESU has brought them in. (both links below)
Can I have some eyes look at this and see what we need to adjust? Do you need to instruct TSEU to move classes around so that they count for both degrees?
Since logging back in here, I see that Digital Marketing is not UL. Is there a good solution to that? Any other major changes for these degrees in the last 6 months?
Also, we aren't sure which classes he should take at TESU besides cornerstone, capstones and Software Engineering. I think we need to take two semesters because two capstones at once would not be good....We live in NJ.
Additionally, recommendations on a possible class that would prepare him for the capstone writing paper? The sophia/SDC classes did not force him to have to learn proper writing/research skills.
The current spreadsheet that reflects how TESU brought in the classes (blue classes are completed/grey still need to be completed):
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1...sp=sharing
The original spreadsheet that reflects how we planned for classes to be brought in:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1...sp=sharing
Thanks so much for all your insight!

Some minor feedback, as my son has a very similar plan:
He took the Eng Comp II TECEP and said it was very manageable.
The Principles of Management from Sophia comes in as MAN-3010, which you already have fulfilled. I would recommend using the Study.com course you have listed or using the Managerial Communication (formerly Corporate Communication) on Saylor Academy to fill in the Managerial Comm requirement.
You could add the Business Administration Associates to your plan - it would be filled in pretty much from the BS CIS.
You can see some options for the CIS Upper Level elective in the following thread to replace Business 309: Digital Marketing & Advertising - I asked the same question on behalf of my son earlier this weekend:

Thanks for the feedback on the Eng COMP II TECEP - that's good to know!
You mentioned switching the Prin. of Man. around with Managerial Comm. Could you tell me your reason for this recomendation?
Thanks for the thread link on Business 309. What did you guys decide to do?
How far is your son at this point? I'm kinda at a loss for what we are to do at this point - I don't know that we have the criteria met for each of the degrees, and I don't know what classes are best to take from TESU.

Principles of Management and Managerial Communications are their own requirements. For Managerial Communications, you have a few options: Saylor's Business Communication, TESU's TECEP for MAN-373, Study.com Business 113: Business Communication.
My son sent some ASU Universal Learners to TESU advising as options to replace Business 309, waiting to hear back about whether they work. He's about 2/3rds through each degree, still working through the last few Sophia classes.
He's planning to do one 15 credit semester to take advantage of the flat-rate tuition. Besides the 2 capstones and the Info Literacy classes, he is looking at the CIS-351 Software Engineering class and maybe a communication class. He might change his mind about the last class.

You have been very helpful with advice on my son's TESU degree in the past. He has finished almost all his alternative credits and we are looking at the final semesters at TESU, but need some advice.
Would you be able to look at this thread with his spreadsheet and give your advice?
Thank you so much!

There's too much info to go through to see if you have everything complete or not... Here's what I recommend you to do:
1) Compare the requirements of the ASNSM Math and what you have, write down your missing or remaining classes
2) Same thing for BACS and then the CIS, write down your missing classes that you haven't taken yet
Update the thread, with headings for each, I'll skim through that and see what you can take at TESU and ones that can transfer

He is planning on doing two capstones in one semester? I thought I had read that was a ton of work and not recommended...?

What can I say - he is ambitious

Thanks! Were you suggesting adding this because the CIS degree is no longer a BSBA degree?
