That's not a bad idea. You do have to write a speech for Public Speaking, but what you turn in is an actual video clip, not a document. But Eng Comp might help you to prepare for Public Speaking. Couldn't hurt! Just keep in mind, if you intend to finish one before starting the other...doesn't matter in what order...you're looking at at least a month, more likely two or even more.
I didn't realize that Sophia offers "Student Success". Is that something they no longer offer? I took College Readiness with them, but it was 3 credits.

Can I push back a due date if I started a course?

You can request an extension. But it's not indefinite like pushing back the start date is.

A Sophia rep told me I couldn’t but I just made another account with a different email & completed courses there.
EDIT: I haven’t transferred them yet but Sophia doesn’t verify students with ID or address so I highly doubt they will cancel my credits and/or account.

You do realize you're not allowed to do that, right? You could lose your account/credits for violating Sophia's honor code policy.

Yes. They used to offer a 1 credit course called "Student Success" but now it has been replaced with a 3 credit "College Readiness"
Also if do a course with assignments what date you put on ACE? The date you took the final milestone and finished the course or the date they finished grading. I'm assuming its the first one. But let me know.

I suspect that Sophia won't confirm your course completion until all the work on the course is graded. If you review your courses, you should see either "Completed" with a radio button for "View Results", or "In Progress", with a radio button for "Go to Course".
With ACE, I used the date I finished each course, except for the three English Comp courses and Public Speaking, because they have Touchstones, which require grading. For those, I have used the date the last Touchstone was graded.

Read the honor code policy again, it doesn't say anything about making a second account. Many people have made second accounts and later had them combined by a Sophia rep.

Copied directly from Sophia:
Quote:Honor Code
To take a Sophia course, students must abide by the following honor code:
- You are permitted to register only one account. Maintaining multiple accounts is considered a violation of this Honor Code.
- The answers to all assessments will be your work, and your work alone.
- You will not make solutions to assessment questions available to anyone else.
- You will not engage in any other activities that could dishonestly improve your results or improve/hinder the results of others.
- Failure to comply with the Student Honor Code will result in removal from the course, removal of courses from your transcript, and/or disqualification to enroll in future courses.
Yes, I agree to the Student Honor Code, and understand violation may result in immediate cancellation of my account.
This is the honor code that you have to agree to every time you register to take a course. Maybe some students have been permitted to roll two accounts into one. But it's risky to suggest this as a way to get around things like time limits.
