Age waiver question - 18 year old
#31
Which ASU class is that? And thanks for the info on the Sophia Java class. Was Python at Sophia better then?

Also, any thoughts yet on Discrete Math, Comp Arch and Data Structures? All from study.com or what is your kiddo's plan?

CIS 309 Business Process Management

He was not enthused about either programming class and is doing more independent work for familiarity. Python was more manageable, but to be fair, he only spent about 1-2 weeks in Java. The plan is for him to do discrete math, comp arch and data structures on Study, along with remaining classes for the CIS and a couple of certificates. He is currently working on operating systems.

Updates -

BS program - added Entrepreneurship AOS. 5 more classes (2 overlap with the planned marketing cert), mostly via Study dot com.
BA program - ASU CIS 394 Cloud Architecture pre-planning approved as CLD-4100 for the BA CS program.

Can I just say that I am totally rooting for your son. It'll be cool when he graduates with 2 Bachelors (one of which with two AOS), 2 Associates and 3 Undergrad Certificates, all in very promising fields for career advancements, before he turns 20.

There is one other thing your son could do: Presumably he graduated from high school in the last few months or a year or so ago?

Nancy Parks from Pierpont told me that you can now enroll and graduate from the Pierpont BOG Associates degree ONE YEAR after high school graduation. Not just after TWO YEARS.

I would probably get the Associates from Pierpont in something that TESU doesn't offer or would be much more work. Like Finance, Accounting or History or Psychology or something, and then carry on with your plan.

Thanks. I'll ask if he is interested. He has more than enough credits for it, including RA.

CIS-3200 Systems Analysis and Design completed, waiting for credit to post. He found it easier than Operating Systems though the final test had a lot of unexpected questions.

Database management is next on Study.

He completed Database Management & waiting for SDC to finish exam video review, now taking a pause for travel. Easier than OS and about the same as system analysis in terms of level of difficulty.
