Ooops! Fingers crossed that you pass anyway. I almost forgot with astronomy as well and only remembered just as I was about to shut down the recording.

Astronomy allows you to have a blank paper to use for calculating the math problems along with a printout of the allowed formulas. You're supposed to show the front and back of these papers both before and after the exam.

I'm so proud. I passed the proctored exam. My first "real" university course in English.

This question is for @raycathode and anyone else who's taken ASU Intro to Sociology. I'm trying to help a relative with special needs roll up a few RA credits for her Pierpont BOG AAS, and we're planning for an ASU course in January. Since SOC101 is available, I'm trying to nudge her away from Solar System and Astronomy because I think she'd have trouble with the labs. Any info on the SOC101 experience would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

The labs for astronomy only make up 15% of the total grade so flunking them doesn't guarantee that you won't pass the course. You just won't get an A. Also, you get 3 tries per question (unlike the other ASU courses where you only get 1 attempt per question). But the math definitely isn't easy and it can be a bit discouraging even though it claims you only need college algebra to take the course.
For sociology, I found the syllabus here: https://courses.ea.asu.edu/assets/course...llabus.pdf The syllabus should still be the same; the courses don't change much (if at all) for several years. Yellowdig is a discussion board. For Health & Wellness, the requirement was an (ungraded) 250? word post each week + three 60? word replies to other people's posts every week. It's similar to, but not the same as, posting to the forum here.
