What is the equivalency of ASU Mat-142 College Mathematics at TESU? It is not on the Wiki. I am guessing that it might be Mat-105 Applied Liberal Arts Math.
Also, does the CLEP College Math still come in as 6 credits (Mat-102 General Math I and Mat-103 General Math II)? I think I vaguely remember reading somewhere that you get less than 6 credits for it now.
Last question: Our son is considering to take E-3 Quantitative Reasoning: Practical Math at Harvard Extension School. With the Lowell Scholarship for high schoolers, it would cost $500 for 4 credits (not cheap, I know, but useful for the experience).
Does anybody want to take a guess of how it would come in at TESU?
"This course reviews basic arithmetical procedures and their use in everyday mathematics. It also includes an introduction to basic statistics covering such topics as the interpretation of numerical data, graph reading, hypothesis testing, and simple linear regression. No previous knowledge of these tools is assumed. Microsoft Excel is introduced and some practical uses of it are demonstrated. Recommendations for calculators are made during the first class."
