I don't know why they are using the term "credit for life experience". I thought WGU only offered competency-based education. The two things are completely different.
Many colleges - not just WGU - offer PLA courses which are courses you earn credit for past work experience. You complete a major project/paper documenting the work experience. WGU does NOT require this course at all. Most everyone just completes their competency based courses. Many well respected universities offer PLA so I don't know what the big hang up is about.

I wonder would WGU allow transfer hours from ENEB / Universidad Isabel I into one of their graduate level business programs since it is based on competency-based education.

WGU does not accept transfer credit into their graduate degrees.

What does being German have to do with anything? That sounds pretty insulting.

Speaking as someone part German with lots of German family, they're basically strict jerks who can't see past their own noses. Structure, structure, and more structure are expected in education, PLA violates the structure, so it is ignored.
I don't find it insulting at all, lol.

Both of my parents have German ancestry. My wife's family is also German. Based on my own relatives, I can concur with this to a certain degree. Tradition is a big deal there. But they are not all that strict about structure and tradition. It depends on the person of course. But based on what I know, I can understand why their academic system doesn't like PLA. But sometimes one has to break away from tradition and accept change.
Working on: Debating whether I want to pursue a doctoral program or maybe another master's degree in 2022-23

My grandmother is from Germany. She's not a strict jerk so yeah I do find your comment insulting.

Ah! We are at an impasse, then, as my grandfather is also from Germany and has helped inform my opinion through his direct descriptions of people and of both his parents. In the absence of a tiebreaker, it appears as though we shall remain eternally in the quagmire of the unknowable.
Jokes aside, I'm not interested in playing the heritage game, it's childish. I have an opinion, you disagree, that's fine. Let's move on and be adults rather than continue this pointless and ultimately futile exercise. Ultimately, this comes down to personal experience, and you can't rationally disagree with my experience any more than I can rationally disagree with yours.
