Thanks, Cook - all I know is your take is true here in South Florida! Only thing new is that if it is a state school there is a policy that has been established by the state on which CLEPs will be accepted and which course numbers they correlate. Also, each of the colleges will have the information in the "catalog" but you may have to dig to find it now that everything is online. Perhaps something similar is available in other states. By the way, the state list also shows AP classes, DSST and ECE - but they also list a maximum number you can use.
