Old MCSE and Old AA - Seeking BA/BA - What does the old stuff buy me?

I have an MCSE from probably 2000 or 2001. Did tests on both NT4 and Win2k. I searched on "MCSE" and found a number of references to the old stuff (Win2k) getting credit (at least at EC) and the newer stuff NOT getting credit. Is this still the case?

I have an AA in General Studies from a Community College that I received in 1991 or 1992. Will something this old be accepted by any of the Big 3?

I am happy to read the stuff to which you point me.
