Doable?
#2
Elinor Wrote:Okay, y'all. Here's my situation. I going in for a BA in History from TE. Hoping to get 60 credits, mainly the general education requirements, before the end of the year. The tests I've taken and passed are in my signature. If I'm counting correctly, I think that adds up to about 45 credits.

Right now I'm studying for US History I... and II. See, we're moving in the next 2-3 months, and I generally like to have 2 weeks to study for a test. So, I was wondering if it's possible to take both of these tests at the same time.

I was also wondering about the Western Europe since 1945 DSST. Does that test have a whole lot of overlap from Western Civilization II?

After these US tests I'm planning on taking Social Sciences and History. I read that the 4 history CLEP tests really helped prepare you for the SS&H test.

I guess I need a bit of encouragement that my 60-credit goal is somewhat doable, even with a move in the midst of life. Any advice is very welcome! Smile

Thanks!

I think it is doable. When I was studying for the US History I & II, I only studied about 1 week a piece and managed to pass them. Check out the videos at the following website, watch the "Biography of America" for the US His. Exams.
Resource: A Biography of America

I thought the Social Science & History Exam was quite easy. And taking it after the US History exams will make it even easier. Make sure you brush over the American Gov, Sociology, and Psych, flashcards or other study material since all subjects will be covered. It is a broad, not too indepth exam so you should do well.
