I thought so, too. After studying for both of these, I decided to add Civil War DANTES and American Government CLEP to my degree plan. I took Civil War last week and have studied for American Government for a week so far. I am glad that I took US History first. It has been a good step toward learning the next two, but they each require more learning than what the history study materials covered. I am pleased with how they have built on each other; it has made learning the new material much easier.
