Congrats, those are both solid degrees. I didn't go for the MAOL because I anticipated it would be more writing than all of my other degrees combined. However, I completed the BAS when there were still exams, so I wrote much less than what's required today. For people who prefer papers over exams, the MAOL is good. I'm working on the MSCSIA at WGU now, and I've actually written more than I expected for that degree, even with all the exams, so I guess it tends to be that way at the graduate level.
