The 80's were great and my parents had a house on a single income. "Trickle down" is a pejorative term invented by people who do not understand economics which had nothing to do with current student loan debt. There have been 20 years of Democratic presidential rule since Reagan.
Tuitions would drop like a rock if you abolished federally funded student loans.

Don’t you see? The Department of Education caused inflation. Once they are destroyed we will be living in paradise.
Correction: Federally funded student loans from the DOE caused college tuition inflation.
