At first I thought the Clemson people didn't do good market research and over-priced the degree by $5k. However, I do see the value add for that extra $5k. They say there are "collaborative projects", so it sounds like the GT OMSCS experience. But GT isn't performance-based. Also, like GT, it's a full 16-week semester.
This is a great find. If you have 20 grand and if you're best shot at getting into an MSCS program is by performance-based measures, then this is completely worth it.
Lol what? I live in IL and would choose Clemson over IL Tech 100x over. 5k is nothing if you are going into CS
"GT" is Georgia Tech not Illinois Tech. But the $5k comparison was between CU Boulder (15k) and Clemson (20k). Both are performance-based. The question is why would you pay 5k more for two schools with similar reputation? I'm saying that if you're getting a similar student experience like GT ("GT" is Georgia Tech), but you don't want to go through a normal admission process, it may be worth paying the extra $5k (again, comparing to CU which also bypasses the traditional application process)
