The BLS appears to require 8 upper level courses at UMPI. I might need more than two lower level courses to fulfill UMPI degree requirements requiring more than 10 courses at UMPI to earn the BLS. The BAS looks achievable however I'm uncertain about the meaning of "Minimum of 40 credits in a technical field", http://catalog.umpi.edu/preview_program....turnto=120 The only subject I have more than 40 credits in is business. Does UMPI consider business a "technical field"? If so, would Pierpont accept my 40 credits in business towards their AAS? I'm scheduled to start UMPI in 6 weeks. Is it possible to get an AAS issued by Pierpont in that time?
Business is not a technical area. So having an AAS in Business AOS would not qualify you for a UMPI BAS.
Correct! An AAS in Business does not allow for admission into the BAS. I speak from experience. I have an AAS in Business Administration and flat out told no even though the catalog at that time said business administration courses counted.
As far as the transfer credit, it doesn't matter what most or other colleges do when it comes to transfer credit. It only matters what UMPI does.

And for the finance course....I don't think it's ever transferred to UMPI as a UL course. I had to take BUS325 at UMPI shortly after this course came to Sophia. The Sophia course doesn't even come close to the amount of material covered in the course at UMPI.
