They would have to develop a curriculum, hire professors, etc. None of which is free or low cost. Don't expect to see the DBA happening. I wouldn't be surprised if they're added to the long list of colleges closing. It's becoming a common occurrence unfortunately.
Having no connection to the school or inside knowledge, what an odd projection of failure for a school that has infused significant revenue over the last few years with their addition of the DHA program. The recent accreditation has already been addressed, and from what has been explained by Dr. Gutpa (Program Chair), they have supplied and have approval on all necessary documents, with an update reflecting this scheduled for the following review.
Of the options we could have, VUL continues to be a small university with more pains due to its size and limited excess of funds; they continue to plug along, experiencing occasional bruises occasionally. Acquisition from a local university or another HBCU, and the final option would be for them to go down the path of Patten University.
This forum tends to have such a doom-and-gloom way of looking at the world when the numbers don't back that up.
